Synthesis of Novel Series of Coumarin Derivatives
Abstract: In a synthetic method similar to Knoevenagel reaction, 3-acetyl coumarin was prepared in the same way through a cyclization condensation reaction betweensalicylaldehyde and ethyl acetoacetate under basic condition using piperidine. Hence, 3-acetyl coumarin as a starting material was reacted with bromine in ether using a Lewis acid as a reactioncatalyst to produce the corresponding α–bromoaceyl cromen-2-one derivative. Excerpt from the Function of a Complex Variable
Abstract: The need to derive a function arose while trying to find a universal way to determine the tangent of a curve in geometry and velocity in mechanics. In mathematical analysis, in a branch of mathematics, a derivative is a measure of how (how fast) a function changes its values when its input values change. The derivative of the curve at a point represents the coefficient of the direction of the …

Chompound contaning oxadiazole derivatives and their potential therapeutic uses.
Abstract: Derivatives of oxadiazole or furadi azole rings constitute a significant class of heterocyclic substances. Oxadiazole is a heterocyclic, five-membered ring with two carbons, one oxygen atom, two nitrogen atoms, and two double bonds. They are produced by substituting two nitrogen (-N =) atoms for two methylene groups (= CH) in furan. The furan ring's aromaticity was significantly decreased by substituting these groups, resulting in a conjugated diene character. There were …
