Comparison of Conventional RCC Columns, Steel Columns and Composite Columns
Abstract: Worldwide, the steel industry is expanding almost everywhere. Compared to the USA, EU, and other developed nations, India uses less steel in the construction industry. Additionally, India's cities have some of the highest population densities per square kilometre, which limits horizontal construction growth and favours vertical development. Steel structures are more ductility and can undergo more deflections while concrete structures are larger and attracts more seismic weight. Hybrid construction combines …

Enhancing Compressive Strength and Durability through Optimization of Concrete Mixtures
Abstract: This research investigates how varying cement-aggregate ratio, water-cement ratio, and slump height affect the compressive strength of concrete mixtures. Through an analysis of 36 samples, each representing different combinations of these parameters, significant insights are gained into the optimization of concrete mix designs for construction applications. The study reveals that higher water-cement ratios tend to decrease compressive strength due to increased porosity in cured concrete. Conversely, higher cement-aggregate ratios generally …

A Review Study of Various Type of Bracing Systems Used For Strengthening Structures in Seismically Activated Areas
Abstract: The greatest challenge for structural engineers is to design the structures to be earthquake resistant. Basically the earthquake resistant design of reinforced concrete structures is a force based design. The forces which are considered in this intuitive philosophy of design are the inertia forces which are attracted towards the structure due to the structural configuration provided. These forces are to be resisted by the structure. One of the methods to …
