Ilaj bil-Ma’ (Hydrotherapy) as a Regimenal Modality in Pain Management: Conceptual Foundations in Unani Medicine and Modern Correlation
Abstract: Waja‘ (pain) is one of the most common clinical complaints encountered worldwide and remains a leading cause of disability, impaired functional capacity, and diminished quality of life. In the Unani system of medicine, pain is not considered merely a symptom but a significant manifestation of disturbed physiological balance. Classical Unani scholars describe pain as arising from derangement in Mizāj (temperament), imbalance of Akhlāṭ (humours), Sudad (obstruction within bodily channels), Waram …

From Humours to Metabolism: An Integrative Review of Obesity Management in Unani Medicine
Abstract: Unani Medicine, a traditional complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) system, adopts a holistic, temperament-based approach to disease prevention and management. In classical Unani literature, obesity is described as Simān-e-Mufriṭ, a pathological condition arising from humoral imbalance, particularly the predominance of phlegm (Balgham) and derangement of temperament (Su’-e-Mizāj), most commonly of a cold and moist nature. This condition is attributed to a sedentary lifestyle, weakened digestive and metabolic faculties, and excessive …

Spatiotemporal Analysis of Mean-Field Coupled Lorenz Oscillators for Applications in Electronic Network Design and Chaotic Synchronization
Abstract: This study investigates the spatiotemporal behavior of a network of 100 coupled Lorenz oscillators interacting through mean-field coupling with coupling strength κ = 0.1 and explores its relevance to electronic system design and nonlinear network architectures. While each oscillator follows classical Lorenz dynamics, the coupling mechanism enables collective behavior that resembles synchronization phenomena observed in distributed electronic and communication systems. Numerical simulations reveal rich dynamical characteristics including partial synchronization, emergent …

Ayurvedic Management of Aplastic Anemia (Tridoshaj Pandu)
Abstract: Aplastic anaemia (AA) was first described by Ehrlich in 1888. It is characterized by peripheral blood pancytopenia. In the management of severe aplastic anaemia, general measures and supportive care as well as therapy with corticosteroids, anabolic steroids, immune suppressive and lithium have so far failed to prolong the survival in severe aplastic anaemia. A 22-year-old female patient came to government ayurved hospital for further treatment of hyperplastic marrow. She was …

The Concept of Mind and Treatment of Mental Diseases in Homoeopathy
Abstract: Homeopathy treats the patient as a whole in mental and physical plane together based on symptom similarity. Homoeopathy rejects mind-body duality. According to Homoeopathic principles, mind and body are dynamically interconnected. Mental diseases are not separate from so called physical diseases. The classical texts of Homoeopathy have given detailed description of importance of mental symptoms in prescribing suitable similar medicine as well as case taking of mentally ill patients; and …

Thermo-mechanical Analysis of Orthotropic plate under Sinusoidally Distributed Thermal load by using Trigonometric shear Deformation Theory (TSDT)
Abstract: For the thermal analysis of simply supported square and rectangular plates applied to sinusoidal distributed linear thermal load throughout the plate thickness and in combination with sinusoidal distributed transverse mechanical loading, a trigonometric shear deformation theory is proposed. In this work, a sinusoidal function in terms of thickness coordinates is being used in the displacement field in conjunction with the transverse shear deformation effect. The normal and shear stress can …

Basic Concept and Role of Memory Enhancer (Muqawwi- E-Hafiza) Unani Drugs in the Management of Alzheimer’s Disease (Nisyaan-E-Shekhukhi): A Review
Abstract: Alzheimer's disease is a neurological disorder in which the death of brain cells causes memory loss and cognitive decline, defined as a dementing illness in which anterograde amnesia is a dominant symptom and is the most common cause of Dementia in the elderly. There is no direct mention of this condition in classical Greek literature, but Alzheimer's disease is almost always associated with forgetfulness or fasaad-e-takhayy’ul. Although the etiology is …

Assessment of Decellularization Techniques for Fabrication of Tubular Submucosal Scaffolds from Small Intestine for Application in Oesophageal Tissue Engineering
Abstract: In this ground-breaking study, we sought to create superior tubular scaffolds for tissue engineering by utilizing small intestine submucosa (SIS), a remarkable biomaterial with outstanding therapeutic potential. We investigated two standard detergent-perfusion procedures, peracetic acid under perfusion and classic peracetic acid-agitation, to decellularize tubular SIS, with the goal of generating scaffolds with consistent and reliable properties for oesophageal tissue engineering. To assess biocompatibility, we employed metabolic research, microscopy, mechanical tests, …

Stretching Boundaries: A Comprehensive Review of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome and its Subtypes
Abstract: The Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS) encompass 13 inheritable disorders affecting connective tissue. These conditions arise from genetic alterations impacting the structure of connective tissue. Every variant of Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) exhibits distinct features and has specific diagnostic criteria. While certain traits such as joint hypermobility, skin hyperextensibility, and tissue fragility are common across all types of EDS. The range of clinical presentations spans from minor skin and joint looseness to severe …

Historical Anatomy On Issues of Language Decay, Survival and Change
Abstract: This paper examines issues of language decay, survival and change. The fortunes of language can rise and fall and are intimately linked to the fortunes of their speakers. In the modern world, relatively few languages are becoming more widely spoken, and smaller languages are finding it harder and harder to survive. Prospects are not totally dire, though; several smaller languages have been successfully resurrected, and efforts are in motion to …
