Havoc of Papaya Mealybug (Paracoccus marginatus) and Its Management Strategies
Abstract: The papaya mealybug (Paracoccus marginatus) is a serious problem that affects mulberries, citrus, and papaya among other agricultural and horticultural crops. Originating in Central America, it has spread around the world and caused extensive harm because of its capacity to consume plant sap, which results in reduced crop yields, fruit drop, and chlorosis. In addition, the insect releases honeydew, which encourages the development of sooty mold, further impeding photosynthesis and …

The Perpetuation of Psychological Wounds: A Comprehensive Review of Intergenerational Trauma in Indian Patriarchal Society
Abstract: The transmission of trauma effects from one generation to the next is known as intergenerational trauma, and it is particularly common in patriarchal civilisations such as India. Laws, economy, and social conventions are shaped by patriarchy, a societal framework that primarily gives males power, authority, and advantages. This perpetuates gender inequity and marginalises women. Aim: The purpose of this review is to examine how trauma is transmitted throughout generations in …

Quorum Sensing and Biofilm Dynamics in Pathogens: An Evolving Frontier in Infectious Disease
Abstract: Bacterial and fungal pathogens rarely act as solitary invaders. Instead, they engage in sophisticated chemical communication known as quorum sensing (QS) to coordinate population-wide behaviours and construct structured, multicellular biofilm communities. These biofilms, composed of extracellular polymeric substances, not only facilitate microbial persistence on biotic and abiotic surfaces but also confer remarkable protection against host immune defenses and antimicrobial therapies. QS systems act as central regulators of biofilm dynamics, orchestrating …
