Assessing of Forest Structure Using Earth Observation Data: A Case Study in Munessa Forest, Oromia Region, Ethiopia
Abstract: Understanding forest structure is crucial for estimating carbon emissions associated with forests, assessing forest degradation, and evaluating the success of forest restoration efforts. However, forest structure quantification is limited to the area of interest without considering the whole forest coverage. Forest structure may be easily assessed over a wide area using data from remote sensing. Thus, by combining ground observation with satellite-based light detection and ranging (LiDAR) and Sentinel 2 …

Study to Assess the Effectiveness of Teaching Program on Knowledge Regarding Management of Patients with Regenerative Orthopedics Procedures Among Orthopedic Nurses at Selected Orthopedic Departments
Abstract: Regenerative therapy is an emerging treatment approach in medical science. It focuses on the use of stem cell therapy, biological treatments, tissue engineering, platelet-rich plasma, prolotherapy, and nutraceutical supplements to replace or restore dysfunctional structures or organs. Regenerative therapy emphasizes the body’s natural healing process; it supports physiological healing mechanisms and repairs damaged tissues. It is a minimally invasive approach with expanding applications across various medical fields, including surgery, degenerative …

Nutrient-Mediated Activation of Cellular Signaling Pathways: Mechanistic Insights into Attenuation of Toxin Induced Inflammation in Food Animals
Abstract: Dietary and environmental toxins remain a persistent challenge in food animal production, where subclinical and clinical inflammation compromises health, productivity, and food safety. Toxin induced inflammation is driven by oxidative stress, mitochondrial dysfunction, and dysregulated immune signaling, resulting in impaired metabolic efficiency and increased disease susceptibility. Recent advances in nutritional science have revealed that nutrients act not only as substrates for growth but also as signaling molecules capable of modulating …

Community Perception on Land Dispossession and Compensation Practices: Evidence from Gondar City, Northwest Ethiopia
Abstract: Land expropriation for urban expansion in the Gondar area significantly reduced farming households from 95%–74%, displacing 29% of affected farmers. While some acknowledged the public benefits, most respondents criticized the process for a lack of transparency, limited community involvement, and inadequate rehabilitation support. Farmers reported receiving compensation that was low, unfairly calculated, and subject to prolonged delays. Key systemic issues included a lack of awareness among affected communities, inconsistent knowledge …

Advances In HIV Research: Epidemiology, Pathogenesis, And Emerging Therapeutic Strategies
Abstract: Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) remains a critical global health concern, infecting millions of individuals each year. The introduction of antiretroviral therapy (ART) has markedly improved disease outcomes by suppressing viral replication, restoring immune function, and extending patient longevity. Despite these advances, the complete eradication of HIV is hindered by the persistence of viral reservoirs, the emergence of drug-resistant strains, and disparities in healthcare accessibility. This review summarizes key developments in …

Plant Bioactive Metabolites and Their Role in the Prevention and Control of Dental Diseases and Infections.
Abstract: The oral diseases, including dental caries and periodontitis, affect masses worldwide, and have historically been managed with synthetic antimicrobials that cause deleterious side effects, leading to mounting bacterial resistance. Consequently, contemporary dentistry is rapidly shifting toward phytomedicine using plant bioactive molecules, such as polyphenols, terpenes, anthraquinones (berberin, eugenol, curcumin, catechins, allicin, and azadirachtin. These compounds offer potent antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and tissue-regenerative properties that are crucial for preventing and curing dental …

ASSESSING OF FOREST STRUCTURE USING EARTH OBSERVATION DATA: ACASE STUDY IN MUNESSA FOREST, OROMIA REGION, ETHIOPIA
Abstract: Forest structure is essential for estimating forest-related carbon emissions, analyzing forest degradation, and quantifying the effectiveness of forest restoration initiatives. However, forest structure quantification is only limited to the specific area of interest without considering the whole forest coverage. Remote sensing data can easily deliver a large area to assess forest structure. Therefore, this study aims to assess forest structure of Munessa Natural Forest by integrating satellite based light detection …

Evaluating the Environmental Impact of Mining: Procedures, Outcomes, and Sustainable Remediation
Abstract: Mining is necessary for economic growth and getting resources, yet also has a big impact on the environment. This article looks at the different ways that mining affects the environment, such as land degradation, deforestation, water pollution, air pollution, and loss of biodiversity. Mining on the surface and underground can cause soil erosion, damage ecosystems, and pollute groundwater and surface water with heavy metals and harmful compounds. Furthermore, the emission …
