Application and Limitation of Metal Thermochemical Processing
Abstract: The technically intriguing and monetarily feasible technique for enhancing the surface layer of materials is surface engineering. The aim is to establish a vast scope of useable attributes that are separate from the core substrate, together with physical, chemical, electrical, electronic, magnetic, or mechanical, even though the material surface monitors the operational life throughout many implementations. Influence of Infill Density on Structural Performance of FDM-Processed PET-G Polymer: Experimental Validation through Quadcopter Flight Testing
Abstract: Polyethylene terephthalate glycol-modified (PET-G) is an amorphous thermoplastic copolymer increasingly adopted in structural applications through fused deposition modeling (FDM). However, the correlation between FDM processing parameters, especially infill density, and mechanical performance of PET-G parts remains inadequately characterized under real-life loading conditions. This study investigates how infill density (10% and 30%, grid pattern) influences the structural integrity of FDM-processed PET-G components, validated experimentally through quadcopter airframe fabrication and flight testing. …

Structure–Optical Property Correlation of Co-Doped TiO₂ and ZnO Nanofillers for Advanced Functional Composite Applications
Abstract: This study investigates the enhancement of the structural and optical properties of titanium dioxide (TiO₂) and zinc oxide (ZnO) nanoparticles through cobalt (Co) doping. Pristine TiO₂ and ZnO are widely studied metal oxides; however, their large band gaps and limited visible-light absorption restrict their performance in optoelectronic, photocatalytic, and environmental applications. Co doping is employed as an effective strategy to overcome these limitations by inducing band-gap narrowing, creating defect-related electronic …

Group-Theoretic Symmetry Indices for Modular Building Layouts under Seismic Load Redistribution
Abstract: Symmetry in modular buildings operates simultaneously as an architectural language, a structural regularizer, and a computational design variable. This paper develops a group-theoretic framework for evaluating and optimizing plan symmetry in modular buildings subjected to seismic load redistribution. The building layout is modeled as a finite occupancy–stiffness field defined on a rectangular lattice, where each module encodes both mass and stiffness contributions. Planar reflections and quarter-turn rotations are represented as …
