TPLO-M: A Dual-Purpose Solution for CCL and MPL in Dogs
Abstract: Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL) rupture and Medial Patellar Luxation (MPL) are common orthopedic conditions affecting the canine stifle joint, particularly in small and toy breeds and larger athletic dogs. When these conditions occur together, they pose a significant surgical challenge due to the combined biomechanical abnormalities. Traditional surgical approaches, such as Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomy (TPLO) for CCL insufficiency and corrective procedures for MPL, do not adequately address both conditions …

A Review on Current Status of Biodegradable Surgical Implant Materials
Abstract: Since many years, inert metals such as stainless steel, cobalt-chromium and titanium alloys have been the primary biomaterials used for load bearing applications. In order to these metallic implants such as pins, screws and plates for repairing the defects have to be removed by secondary surgery once the bone tissue is healed, which will increase the morbidity, pain and cost. Hence conventional metallic biomaterials are biocompatible but not biodegradable. At …

A New Approach for Modeling the Dynamics of Output Variables of a Spatially Distributed System
Abstract: This paper addresses the development of an average-value based model for the processing system having some peculiar physical constraints which prevent their process variables to have a steady and stable value. As a result, the maintenance of steady balance of the system will become tedious. The continuous observation of that process variable, fixation of its average value on real-time basis, and mathematical model development of above-average value as base factor …
