Flame Phenomenology for Premixed Methane and Propane/Air in Developed Meso-scale Channels at Ambient Conditions
Abstract: This paper reports the development of a meso-scale channel for propagation of methane and propane-air mixtures at low Reynolds number. An experiment was conducted in 3, 4 and 5 mm internal quartz tube diameters at premixed conditions of the fuel/air. The tubes were vertically mounted and sometimes preheated uniformly laterally. Uniformly laterally heating gives a zero temperature gradient. Flame phenomenology at different equivalence ratios (φ) of the mixture was discussed. …

Series Resistor Method for Higher Signal-to-Noise Ratio and High Sensitivity in Superconducting Nanowire Single-Photon Detectors
Abstract: A series resistor method has been presented for higher signal-to-noise and high sensitivity in superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors (SNSPD). This method has given a very high useful data yields exceeding 50% while still maintaining pure single-photon operation and wide dynamic range. The SNSPD signal is roughly proportional to the nanowire width, so narrow nanowire have poor signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) at widths from 4–30 nm and fabrication at these length scales …

New Analytical Expression of OPRA Over InverseGamma Shadowed Fading Channel with Selection Combining Diversity
Abstract: Abstract: Considering wireless communications, different factors are responsible for attenuation and degradation of signal which is term as fading. Generally fading is divided into two parts large scale fading and small scale fading. It is very essential to develop a fading model that characterizes the channel considering that effects. In this paper analysis of channel capacity under Optimal Power Rate Adaption (OPRA) over Inverse-Gamma shadowed distribution with Selection Combining diversity …

BER Improvement in Fading Conditions Using QAM
Abstract: AbstractThe future mobile network requires huge capacity, coverage, energy efficiency and spectral efficiency. In different fading conditions, like Gaussian noise channel, Rician fading and Rayleigh fading conditions, higher order QAM can improve spectral efficiency by improving bit error rate. Additive white Gaussian noise model describes the effect of random processes in nature. Rayleigh distribution has static time varying nature on the receiver side. The envelope of Rician fading is small …
