HVAC Design by Using Green Building Norms
Abstract: An HVAC system can be describing as a system which removes the heat from a desired space by pumping the heat from one place to another which result a cooling effect, also by lowering the temperature. HVAC work for a good indoor air quality by using latest filtering technologies. The major components of the HVAC system are, Heat exchanger, Evaporator coil, Thermostat, Refrigerant lines, Condensing unit, drain piping system, electrical …

Production of Single-domain Antibodies Library by Phage Display Technology
Abstract: Single-domain antibodies (dAbs) are synthesized from variable domain gene-segments of atypical camelid or shark “heavy chain antibodies” (HCAbs) by phage display technology. We have constructed a phage display library of > 5 × 107 dAb clones derived from HCAb genes in B lymphocyte repertoire of a lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-immunized Indian desert camel and isolated dAb-phage clones by panning of the library against LPS and Staphylococcus aureus exotoxins. Nucleotide and deduced amino-acid …

All Climates Carboxymethyl Cellulase from Psychrophilic Fungus Truncatella angustata
Abstract: The aim of this research was to screen the activity of carboxymethyl cellulase (CMCase) in laboratory stocks of psychrotrophic fungi (Penicillium canescens BPF4, Truncatella angustata BPF5 and Pseudogymnoascus roseus BPF6). Of the three fungal species, the psychrotrophic fungus T. angustata showed maximum CMCase activity under cold temperatures. The maximum CMCase activity from T. angustata was found at 40°C, a residual activity of 60 % at 4°C, 90% at 10°C, 75% …

Molecular Interaction Study of Glycine in Aqueous Lactose Solution Using Volumetric, Acoustic and Viscometric Methods at Different Temperatures
Abstract: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Density, viscosity, sound speed and refractive index of glycine in aqueous lactose solution at varying concentrations from 0.1035 to 1.0345 m at 298, 308, and 318 K have been determined using precalibrated bycapillary pycnometer, Ostwald’s viscometer and single frequency ultrasonic interferometer at 2 MHz frequency respectively. The derived acoustic parameters like apparent molal volume( ), apparent molal compressibility( ), specific acoustic impedance …

Homology Modeling and in silico Characterization of a Hypothetical Protein of Arabidopsis lyrata ssp. Lyrata
Abstract: Arabidopsis lyrata, a plant belonging to brassicaceae, is a model organism for studying evolutionary and ecological genetics. Most of the proteins of this plant have remained uncharacterized and their functional roles are still to be elucidated. In this investigation, we have attempted to characterize one such hypothetical protein in terms of its physico-chemical properties, secondary and tertiary structure features by in silico study. The protein was classified under glycoside hydrolase …

Production of Bioflocculants from Bacillus subtilis-2162 and Determination of Its Flocculating Activity on Heavy Metal Chromium
Abstract: The bioflocculant production potential of Bacillus subtilis-2162 was evaluated using standard methods. The bacteria produced an extracellular bioflocculant. Culture conditions for optimal production of the bioflocculants include: glucose and sucrose as carbon sources; multiple + 2 nitrogen sources including: ammonium sulfate and yeast extract; Ca+2 as sole cation source; and initial medium of pH 7. Characterization of the pure bioflocculants revealed that it is thermostable. Hydroxyl, carboxyl and amino groups …

HYBRID TEG SYSTEM FOR INDUSTRIAL AND AIR CONDITIONING APPLICATIONS
Abstract: A new system to generate electric energy using thermoelectric generators (TEG’s) based on Peltier cells has been conceived, designed and built. The system consists of a Peltier cell assembly installed in a replica of an air conditioning circuit to benefit from hot and cold air flow to generate the appropriate temperature gradient. The new system has been characterized using a group of Peltier cells mounted on a dual thermostatic chamber …

Understanding the Molecular Mechanisms of Proteases in Bioprocessing: A Review on the Future of the Food Industry
Abstract: Proteases are enzymes that break down proteins through peptide bond catalysis. A protease is a single polypeptide chain of some 250 amino acids and is devoid of sulfhydryl groups. The COOH-terminal tryptic peptide of the protease molecule contains some 43 residues. Because of this unique structure and mechanism, they play a crucial role in the Bioprocessing industry, especially in food processing applications. Herein, the sources of proteases are discussed as …
