Biochar-Filled Soy Protein Composites: Evaluating Thermal and Mechanical Properties for Sustainable Polymer Applications
Abstract: The growing demand for environmentally sustainable and biodegradable materials has intensified interest in alternative solutions for thermal insulation. This study explores the development of composite materials using mango seed shell biochar (MSSB) and soy protein isolate (SPI) as a biodegradable matrix-filler system. Mango seed shells, an abundant agro-industrial waste, were subjected to pyrolysis at 500°C for 2 hours to produce biochar. The resulting MSSB was incorporated into SPI with glycerol …

Effect of Fiber Weight Fraction on the Mechanical Performance of Calotropis Gigantea Fiber-Reinforced Polyester Composites
Abstract: Natural fiber-reinforced composites have attracted more attention as environmentally friendly substitutes to synthetic materials since the move towards a sustainable approach to engineering materials has gained in popularity. This paper focuses on the potential use of Calotropis gigantea (CG) stem fibers as laminate reinforcement with bio-composites made through an unsaturated polyester resin (GP) system. Super strength fibers were pulled out, treated with alkaline to boost interfacial adhesion, and positioned in …

Innovative Polymer Nanocomposites: Bridging Sustainability and Advanced Material Performance
Abstract: This study examines the evolution of bio-based polymer nanocomposites using eco-friendly synthesis methods to improve mechanical, thermal, and barrier properties. It involves the combination of sustainable synthetic polymers with natural polymers in the presence of nanofillers in a green and compatible fashion to generate durable nanocomposites. Optimal alignment of nanofillers with the polymer matrices can be achieved using solvent casting, melt blending, and in-situ polymerization as fabrication methods. Consequently, the …

Persistent Atmospheric and Ecosystem Impacts of Enteric Methane Emissions from Intensive Livestock Production Systems
Abstract: Enteric methane emissions from intensive livestock production systems exert a significant long-lasting influence on atmospheric stability and ecosystem integrity. Recent observations confirm that global methane emissions continued to rise through the early 2020s, with total emissions exceeding 620 teragrams per year by 2024, driven by expanding ruminant production and associated feed systems. Anthropogenic sources accounted for more than 330 teragrams per year, reflecting sustained growth in agricultural and fossil fuel …

SCIENTISTS REINVENT LOW ENERGY NUCLEAR REACTION (LENR)/COLD FUSION
Abstract: Two of the researchers of The University of Utah, USA in 1989 named Dr. Martin Fleishmann and Stanley Pons declared that they had discovered a sustained nuclear fusion reaction at room temperature during electrolysis experiment that could solve the problem of energy requirement on this planet. The cold fusion reaction, also called low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) takes place at room temperature, unlike conventional fusion reaction where temperature required is …
