Global Trends in Incidence and Prevalence of Dental Caries: A Review
Abstract: Dental caries is ubiquitous in modern man; however, the caries experience varies greatly among countries and even within countries. Overall, this review shows that, globally, the EMEcountries, China, India, and Pakistan have the lowest levelsof caries, with DMFT scores in 12-year-olds around 1.0. Cariesprevalence figures show a skewed distribution, with a largeproportion of this age group being caries-free. Countries withpreviously high caries levels such as the Formerly SocialEconomies of Europe, …

Internal Resorption of Maxillary Central Incisor: A Case Report
Abstract: Internal resorption is an idiopathic slow or fast progressive resorptive process initiated within the pulp space with the loss of dentin. The internal resorption is a result of osteoclastic activity. The cause of internal resorption is not known but generally the patient has a history of trauma. Internal resorption is generally asymptomatic. It may be diagnosed on a routine radiographic examination. In the paper, a case of 32-year old female …

Increase of Glucose in Fasting condition –A review
Abstract: Estimation of blood glucose is very important for normal and diabetic cases. Fasting blood sugar is measurement after overnight fasting, values above 125 mg/dl indicates diabetes while post prandial sugar is sugar after meal, which is done after four hours meals. It has been seen that post prandial sugar levels are always higher compared to fasting but in few cases fasting levels were found elevated when compared to post prandial …

A Production Inventory Model in a Random Planning Horizon Incorporating Learning Effects on Inventory Costs Under Inflation and Time Value of Money via Genetic Algorithm
Abstract: A production inventory model for a new product is developed incorporating inflation and time value of money. It is assumed that lifetime of the product is random in nature and follows exponential distribution with a known mean. So planning horizon of the model is random in nature. Here learning effect on production and set-up cost is incorporated. Model is formulated to maximize the expected profit from the whole plan-ning horizon …

Increased Message Delivery Using Improved PRoPHET Routing Technique in VDTN
Abstract: AbstractVehicular Delay Tolerant network (VDTN) is new challenging field of Delay Tolerant Network (DTN) concept. In VDTN, nodes (vehicles) use the pattern of store, carry and forward to communicate each other. Due to high deviations in density, no end-to-end connectivity and discontinuous network, the traffic is sparse. In VDTN, due to less contact duration occurs between the nodes (vehicles), the routing is very difficult and challenging. Our new approach, improvement …

Common Fixed-Point Results for Weakly Increasing Dominating Maps on Vector b-Metric Spaces
Abstract: AbstractIn this paper, we consider E-b-metric space, which is a generalized vector metric space. This is a Riesz space valued metric space. Here, we prove some results concerning common fixed point for four mappings on E-b-metric space. This generalizes the results of Rahimi, Abbas and Rad [16]. Study of Gear Tooth Profile Strength Increment:A Review
Abstract: One of the most important elements in mechanical engineering design; are gears. Gears arethe most durable and rugged among all mechanical drives and can be used for transmittingmaximum power with greater efficiency. Gears are used in no. of industrial applications.Strength of any gear depends upon the profile of gear tooth. Wear and friction between twogears are also dependent on the involute tooth profile which directly affect the bending andfatigue strength …

A Study on Increasing Sensitivity of Microcantilever Biosensor of Different Geometries
Abstract: In this paper, the authors present the activities within their research group on increasing the sensitivity of microcantilever of SU-8/2050. They believe that SU-8 is an interesting polymer for fabrication of cantilevers for biosensing due to its simple processing and low Young’s modulus. They show that the SU-8 cantilever surface can be functionalized directly with receptor molecules for analyte detection, thereby avoiding gold layer. To increase the overall sensitivity of …

UV Induced Increase in Activity of Subtilisin from Bacillus subtilis MTCC441
Abstract: Microorganisms are constantly exposed to varying physical, chemical and biological conditions which induce morphological, biochemical and genetic changes in them. These changes may be deleterious to some organisms whereas others develop mechanisms to overcome such stresses. This study was conducted to understand the microbiological and biochemical changes in bacteria under conditions of UV stress. Bacillus subtilis MTCC441, a ubiquitous, spore forming bacterium was chosen as the model organism for this …
