Nonlinear Channel Equaliser using Discrete Gabor Transform
Abstract: ABSTRACTThe adaptive equaliser makes use of adaptive digital filters whose filter coefficients are modified depending on the channel characteristics at the front end of the receiver. The noise introduced in the channel gets nullified and hence the signal-to-noise ratio of the receiver improves. Discrete Gabor Transform (DGT) helps decorrelate input data because of which the convergence speed of the Mean Square Error (MSE) improves considerably. It is found that the …

Application of Compressive Sensing for Sampling and Reconstruction of MRI Images
Abstract: In recent years, a new theory of compressive sensing has evolved which asserts that super resolved signals and images can be recovered with far fewer samples than that demanded by the Nyquist sampling theorem. It is required that the signal being sensed has a low information-rate meaning that it is sparse in original or some transform domain. Former approaches capture the complete signal and process it to extract the information. …

Catalyst: Free Synthesis of Bioactive Molecules via Green Chemical Principles
Abstract: This study explores the catalyst-free synthesis of bioactive molecules, emphasizing the application of green chemical principles. Traditional synthetic methods often rely on hazardous reagents, solvents, and metal catalysts, which can pose significant environmental and health risks. In contrast, the catalyst-free approach leverages benign reaction conditions, such as solvent-free systems, ambient temperature, and pressure, to achieve efficient and selective transformations. We present a comprehensive investigation into various bioactive molecule syntheses, including …

Bioscouring And Anionization of Waste Cotton Fabric for Efficient Removal of Malachite Green Dye
Abstract: Adsorption is an efficient method for dye removal but the high cost of adsorbents limits its use, emphasizing the need for sustainable, low-cost alternatives. This study explores the usage of modified cotton fabric for the treatment of malachite green (cationic dye) from wastewater. Cellulase extracted from Raphanus sativus and Daucus carota were evaluated for bioscouring potential which was confirmed by scanning electron microscopy. Further, cotton fabric was chemically modified using …

Image Compression via Non-separable Discrete Fractional Fourier Transform
Abstract: The main idea behind image compression is to reduce the bandwidth for transmission and required space for storage. Thus, image compression is of great importance. In this paper we present the image compression technique using Non-Separable Discrete Fractional Fourier Transform (NSDFrFT). Numerical simulation results suggested that image compression method using NSDFrFT as transform technique gives better performance for images when compression ratio is high in comparison to DFrFT and JPEG. …
