A Review on Mathematical Modeling and Experimental Investigation of Heat Pipe Evacuated Tube Solar Collector
Abstract: This paper presents the literature survey of mathematical modeling and experimental investigation of heat pipe evacuated tube solar collectors. Heat pipe evacuated tube solar collectors are used for industrial applications where temperature requirement is higher, i.e. more than 100°C. Heat pipe evacuated tube solar collectors are having better performance compared to flat plate solar collectors and simple evacuate tube solar collectors. The performance of the heat pipe evacuated tube solar …

A Review on Slow Pyrolysis by using Fixed Bed Pyrolyzer using Different Biomass
Abstract: This paper presents the literature survey of slow pyrolysis; an economical thermochemical process to produce bio-oil. In slow pyrolysis, the low temperature (up to 500°C), low heating rate and longer vapor residence time (up to 30 min) which produced 25 to 45% bio-oil, bio-char 35 to 50% and pyro-gas 30 to 50%. Pyrolysis yield such as bio-oil, bio-char and pyro-gas depends on temperature, heating rate, sweeping gas effect, initial moisture …

Energy and Exergy Analysis of Boiler and Turbine for Thermal Power Plant: A Review
Abstract: This paper presents thermodynamic analysis of boiler and turbine. Most of the power plants are designed by the energetic performance criteria based on first law of thermodynamics only. The real useful energy loss cannot be justified by the first law of thermodynamics, because it does not differentiate between the quality and quantity of energy. Energy analysis presents only quantities results while exergy analysis presents quantitative as well as qualitative results …

High Pressure Waste Heat Recovery Boiler Downstream of Sponge Iron Plant: A Review
Abstract: India is emerging as the leading producer of sponge iron among developing as well industrially developing nations. Sponge iron is produced by the direct reduction of iron ore by use of non-coking coal. In the present work, a boiler is designed to coordinate the heat of waste gas in the sponge iron process. This gas has a lot of sensible heat, which can be used for producing high-pressurized steam by …

Review on Design and Development of Cleaning and Cooling System for 15 kw (Thermal) Down Draft Gasifier with Producer Gas Analysis
Abstract: In this global world, energy crisis is increasing day-by-day, but fulfilling of that energy by conventional energy generation produces pollution problem and it is also costly. The process of biomass gasification was carried out in a downdraft gasifier by using different biomass like neem wood, babul wood, coconut coir and sugarcane bagasse as feed materials. The product gas or syngas produced was studied by varying parameters like temperature of operation, …

A Review: The Design of Photovoltaic Thermal Technology with Compound Parabolic Concentrator
Abstract: In this paper, photovoltaic cell with compound parabolic solar concentrator has been studied. The interior surface is covered with the reflector. The use of photovoltaic thermal system in combination with concentrating reflectors has a potential to significantly increase power production from a given solar cell area. The absorber of the combined photovoltaic/thermal (PV/T) collector under investigation consists of a module of solar cells for generating electricity, compound parabolic concentrator (CPC) …

A Review on Modification and Experimental Analysis of Fluidized Bed Gasifier for Quality Enhancement of Producer Gas
Abstract: In this global world, energy crisis is increasing day by day, but fulfilling of that energy by conventional energy generation produces pollution problem and it is also costly. There are million tons of waste biomass like rice husk, sawdust, bagasse, straw, and groundnut shell powder available in powdered forms, which are converted in to producer gas used to generate energy by fluidized bed gasifier. There are various input parameters like …
