This paper presents the literature survey of mathematical modeling and experimental investigation of heat pipe evacuated tube solar collectors. Heat pipe evacuated tube solar collectors are used for industrial applications where temperature requirement is higher, i.e. more than 100°C. Heat pipe evacuated tube solar collectors are having better performance compared to flat plate solar collectors and simple evacuate tube solar collectors. The performance of the heat pipe evacuated tube solar collector is widely depends on the solar radiation, ambient temperature and temperature of fluid at collector inlet. Many researchers had developed mathematical models for these types of collectors and also models were validated using experimental results. Keywords: Heat pipe ETC, mathematical modelingCite this Article Bharatsinh Parmar.
