A Sol-Gel Approach for the Fabrication of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles and Their Nanocomposite with Urea Formaldehyde (UF)
Abstract: In the performed work, zinc oxide nanoparticles were synthesized via the sol-gel method using zinc sulphate as the precursor material. Urea-formaldehyde (UF) resin was employed as a polymer matrix to encapsulate the produced ZnO through an acid-catalyzed polymerization process. This encapsulation aimed to improve the dispersion stability and surface reactivity of ZnO within the polymeric medium. The synthesized materials were subjected to comprehensive characterization using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), …

Electrooxidation of Methylene Blue over nanoparticle coated DSA synthesized by sol-gel method
Abstract: The current study uses the sol-gel approach to synthesize a new Dimensionally Stable Anode (DSA) covered with nanoparticles. The objective is to enhance the electrocatalytic activity and overall performance of the anodes in treating synthetic industrial wastewater containing reactive dyes. CuO and TiO2 nanoparticles are coated using a thermal decomposition technique on a titanium electrode. The DSA surface gains more surface area and better catalytic capabilities when nanoparticles are coated …

Influence of Gd Doping in Structural, Morphological and Optical Properties of Zno Nanostructures Synthesised Via Sol-Gel Processes
Abstract: In this study, nanocrystalline Zn1-xGdx (x=0.0 and 0.03) samples were synthesised via the Sol-gel combustion process. An array of analytical techniques was employed to examine the prepared samples to determine their different physical features. For both pristine and Gd-doped samples, the crystal symmetry is hexagonal with the P63mc space group which is verified via the Rietveld refinement analysis of X-ray diffraction (XRD) data. The atoms' bond length Zn-O and bond …

A Comparative Study of Zinc Oxide Nano Particles Synthesized by Hydrothermal, Sol-gel and Thermal Decomposition
Abstract: In the proposed work, Zinc oxide nano particles (ZnO NP's) are synthesized using three different methods: Hydrothermal, Sol-gel and Thermal decomposition. The samples are characterized using X- ray diffraction (XRD), UV visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The XRD pattern exhibit single-phase polycrystalline nature of all the samples exhibiting the most intense peak at (101). The diffraction peaks are located at 31.80, 34.46, …
