A Review on Anti-Inflammatory Activity of Benzthiazole Derivatives
Abstract: Benzothiazoles are an important biologically active heterocyclic compounds which contain six membered benzene rings fused with five membered thiazole rings at 1,4 positions. They possess various biological activities like Anti-microbial, Anti-fungal, Anthelmintic, Antioxidant and Anti-inflammatory activities. Benzothiazoles nucleus is believed to produce it’s Anti-inflammatory activity either by inhibiting Beta-2 receptors of Bradykinin or by inhibiting cox₂ enzymes (cyclooxygenase).
