Effect of Span, Load Intensity, and Beam Geometry on Stress and Deflection Behavior of RCC Beams
Abstract: This study investigates the influence of variations in beam geometry, span, load intensity, and permissible stresses on the structural behavior of reinforced concrete beams. Using classical bending and shear stress formulations, the effects of a 20% increase in key parameters were analytically evaluated. Results indicate that a 20% increase in beam span leads to a proportional 20% increase in beam depth, whereas a 20% increase in beam width or permissible …

A Study on the Athletic Age Profiles of Olympic Sprint Competitors
Abstract: This study aimed to determine the potential athletic age of male Olympic sprinters in the 100-meter event and to assess the dominance of various continents in relation to athletes' age at debut, peak performance, retirement, and competitive career span. Data were collected from the top eight finalists in the 100-meter event across Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, and South America, covering the Olympic Games from Moscow 1980 to Tokyo 2020. …

Reinforcement Learning for Adaptive Sensing with Shape Memory Polymer-Based IoT Nodes
Abstract: The rapid expansion of intelligent sensing in the Internet of Things (IoT) has revealed the pressing need for materials and algorithms capable of self-adaptation in volatile environments. Conventional polymer-based sensors and static control strategies often fail to capture nonlinear thermo-mechanical dynamics, leaving them unsuitable for unpredictable operating conditions. Although prior studies have improved polymer composites or introduced algorithmic optimization independently, few attempts have coupled the adaptability of smart materials with …

Geological and Geophysical Studies of the Ninety East Ridge: A Brief Review
Abstract: The Indian Ocean serves as a unique laboratory for studying the impact of both global and regional stressors on environmental changes over various geological epochs. Its distinct hydrological conditions and geographical location make it an ideal focal point for research into these phenomena. Of particular interest within the Indian Ocean is the Ninety East Ridge (NER), which holds significance as the world's longest linear rise. Researchers have long hypothesized that …
