Bio-inspired Thermo-responsive and Self-Healing Polymer–PCM Hybrids for Next-Generation Smart Textile Applications
Abstract: The integration of phase change materials (PCMs) into flexible polymers represents a promising strategy for developing smart textiles with advanced thermal regulation and mechanical adaptability. However, the challenges of PCM leakage, poor mechanical strength, and durability under cyclic stress have limited their practical applications. In this study, we present a novel self-healing and elastic composite based on thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) incorporating 30 wt% microencapsulated PCM (mPCM) and dynamic disulfide bonds …

Formulation and Evaluation of Transdermal Drug Delivery of Piroxicam
Abstract: The aim of the present study was to formulate transdermal films loaded with Piroxicam (PX). Transdermal films were prepared by using sodium alginate (SA) and xanthan gum (XG) as biopolymers by varying the blend ratios viz., 10:0, 8:2, 6:4, 4:6 and 2:8 (w/w %) through solution casting method. The drug loaded membranes were evaluated for thickness, tensile behaviours, and content uniformity. In-vitro diffusion was determined by Franz diffusion cell. Piroxicam …

Development and Analysis of Novel Silver Ion-Conducting Glass-Polymer Electrolytes
Abstract: The development of efficient and stable solid electrolytes is crucial for advancing energy storage technologies such as solid-state batteries and electrochemical devices. In this study, a novel series of silver ion-conducting glass–polymer electrolytes (GPEs) based on the composition (1–x) PEO: x[0.75AgI:0.25(Ag₂O:WO₃)] with x ranging up to 50 wt.% was synthesized and thoroughly analyzed. Unlike conventional techniques such as solution casting or sol–gel methods, these GPEs were fabricated using an innovative …
