NUMERICAL ANALYSIS OF THE DYNAMIC BEHAVIOR OF THE EARTH DAM – CASE STUDY OF THE OURKISS DAM, ALGERIA.
Abstract: The analysis of failure due to the effect of propagation of normal and reverse faults with different angles of inclination and by slip through the Ourkiss dam is studied numerically. The study is done mainly at the end of the construction and at the highest water level. The non-linear finite difference method is used considering four angles of inclination of the fault, active at the centre of the dam base. The results …

Design of Fault Tolerant Reversible Comparator
Abstract: Reversible circuits have proved its significance in the synthesis of circuits having their important role in nanotechnology, quantum computing, low power CMOS Design, cryptography and Bioinformatics. The Reversible Gates can be further made more beneficial if they prove themselves to be Fault Tolerant i.e. where errors can be detected and corrected at the same time. This Paper considers parity preserving technique for making Reversible circuits Fault Tolerant. Parity Preserving Gates …

An Overview on VLSI based Hardware Security in IoT Node
Abstract: In the coming era, security will not be a feature we add to an IoT device; it will be a property inherent to its transistor-level design. By encoding security into the VLSI architecture, we move away from the fragile "software-only" paradigm and toward a future where the identity of the device is as immutable as the laws of physics. The rapid proliferation of Internet of Things (IoT) devices has transformed …

UNDERGROUND CABLE FAULT DETECTION CAR
Abstract: Abstract:-Underground cables along with additional buried assistance can be identified and examinedusing an apparatus known as a cable detector. This is carried out by passing a signal into the earth andthen receiving it back through an antenna. Utilising the received signal endurance, the exact positionand depth of the underground question are found. In doing mining and construction work, this helpsprevent unintended injuries. There are numerous different types of underground cable …

Steady State and Transient Analysis of 6-Pulse Rectifier Bridges Including Faulty Diodes
Abstract: This paper addresses the steady-state and transient responses of un-controlled faulty 6-pulse diode rectifier bridge circuits. The faulty bridges can include several simultaneous diode valves’ open- or short-circuits. An efficient representation of the diodes is adopted in order to describe their performance in both the forward and reverse directions. A set of simultaneous differential and algebraic equations simulating the faulty rectifier bridge is presented. Its numerical solution is obtained through …

Enhancing Smart Grid Resilience Through AI-Based Fault Classification
Abstract: Traditional power grids can be developed into smart grids, and they are comprised of the latest information and communication technologies (ICTs), which are based on establishing the relationship between the conventional electricity systems along with the usage of smart meters and distributed generation. This dynamic improves energy efficiency and the integration of renewables. Well, the dynamic and reversible power injection from Distributed Energy Resources (DERs) creates substantial operational problems. These …

The Role of Symmetry in Topological Insulators and Superconductors
Abstract: Topological insulators and superconductors constitute a class of quantum materials characterized by insulating bulks and symmetry-protected conducting boundaries. Symmetry principles, notably time-reversal (TRS), particle-hole (PHS), and chiral symmetry, play a fundamental role in determining the topological phases and their classification within the Altland-Zirnbauer scheme. TRS protects gapless surface states in topological insulators, while PHS stabilizes Majorana modes in topological superconductors. Symmetry-protected topology extends this framework by considering partial symmetry breaking, …
