Veterinary Immunology in Zoonotic Disease Control
Abstract: Zoonotic diseases, which are transmissible between animals and humans, pose a significant threat to global public health, food security, and economic stability. Veterinary immunology plays a pivotal role in understanding host–pathogen interactions, developing preventive strategies, and mitigating the impact of these diseases. Animals serve as reservoirs for a variety of pathogens, including viruses, bacteria, and fungi, which can persist asymptomatically or cause clinical disease. Understanding the immune mechanisms in both …

AI in Healthcare: Drug Delivery in Tuberculosis
Abstract: Tuberculosis (TB) , mainly caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, remains a major global health burden, accounting for millions of new infections and deaths each year. Although progress has been made in diagnosis and treatment, the growing threat of multidrug-resistant (MDR) and extensively drug-resistant (XDR) TB makes disease control increasingly difficult. Conventional diagnostic approaches such as chest X-rays, sputum smear microscopy, and culture methods continue to play an important role, but they …

Embracing Health, Safety, and a Greener Environment in the Construction of Offshore Structures
Abstract: Offshore infrastructure (oil and gas platforms, offshore wind farms, subsea cables, ports, and associated works) plays a vital role in energy, communications, and trade. However, construction activities offshore create complex safety, public health and environmental risks from worker injuries and exposure to hazardous substances, to marine pollution and ecosystem damage with downstream human health effects. This paper reviews the hazards, regulatory and management frameworks, lessons from major incidents, and practical …

Impact of Vaccine Awareness Campaigns on Pharmacovigilance Reporting and Public Safety Monitoring
Abstract: Vaccination programs have significantly contributed to the reduction of infectious diseases worldwide; however, their success is closely tied to public confidence and robust safety monitoring systems. Pharmacovigilance plays a critical role in identifying, assessing, and preventing adverse events following immunization (AEFI). In recent years, vaccine awareness campaigns have emerged as a pivotal strategy to improve public knowledge, reduce vaccine hesitancy, and enhance reporting of adverse drug reactions (ADRs). This review …
