Protease activated receptor-2 as an imperative target in nociceptive responses: A minireview
Abstract: PARs (protease-activated receptors) are a family of seven-transmembrane G-protein coupled receptor for proteases from circulation, inflammatory cells and endothelial tissues. To date, four members of PAR family have been cloned, namely PAR1 to PAR4. This minireview focuses on role of PAR2 receptor in inflammatory and nociceptive processes. Numerous studies documented for activation of PAR2 receptors through several proteases suggests its role in pain and inflammation. However, mechanism of PAR2 underlying …

Anti-nociceptive Potential of Scurrula parasitica: An Unexploited Parasitic Plant
Abstract: Scurrula parasitica (Loranthaceae) is an herbaceous growing shrub parasitic on Dendrophthoe falcata (Loranthaceae) which is itself parasitic on Mangifera indica (Anacardiaceae). Scurrula parasitica is distributed throughout the western ghat region of Maharashtra, some parts of Uttar Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Genus Scurrula comprising of around 91 species, however, only S. ferruginea, S. atropurpurea, S. fusca have been investigated systematically. No such pharmacological and phytochemical data are available on the plant …

Breakdown of Physicothermodynamic System of The Human Neural Network in The Fractional Dimensional Space Due To Z+ Bis Intake: Introduction to Photonic & Phononic Nociceptions
Abstract: Nociceptionics deals with the properties, dynamism of nonciceptons, emitted from thequasi-particles of pain perception due to killing or annihilation of living organism in anypart of the globe. The new subject of Nonciceptonics is analogous to the conventionaldiscipline of Digital & Pulse Electronics and Abstract Algebra. In our present work wewill study the characteristics of fractional dimensional space in the human brain as asevere consequence of the nociceptons emitted from the …

Comprehending and Managing Restless Leg Syndrome
Abstract: An need to move that arises during rest or is made worse by rest, that happens in the evening or at night, and that goes away or gets better with movement is the hallmark of restless legs syndrome (RLS), a frequent sensorimotor disease. The degree, frequency, and age of start of symptoms vary greatly; severe types can impair mood, quality of life, and sleep. Periodic leg movements are common in …

Acetaminophen: Current Understanding and Future Directions in Pharmacology
Abstract: In this review, acetaminophen is described as one of the most widely used analgesic and antipyretic medications worldwide due to its effectiveness and reduced gastrointestinal toxicity compared with traditional NSAIDs. Its precise mode of action is still unclear despite widespread therapeutic use. Acetaminophen has little peripheral anti-inflammatory effect and largely acts within the central nervous system, in contrast to NSAIDs, which mainly block peripheral cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes and lower inflammation. …

The Effect of Magnesium and Zinc Lozenge on Postoperative Sequelae after Third Molar Surgery: A Prospective Randomized, Placebo-Controlled Study
Abstract: Background: The postoperative sequelae after third molar surgery include pain, swelling and trismus, Magnesium has antinociceptive effects that can prevent central sensitization caused by peripheral nociceptive stimulation by blocking the N-methyl-D-aspartate-type glutamate receptors, Zinc acts as anti-inflammatory agent, can promote wound healing, immune system modulation, tissue repair, and significant reduction in the use of analgesics for oral pain. This study was aimed to evaluate the efficacy of Magnesium and Zinc …

Ethanolic Root Extract of Jatropha curcas L. Ameliorates Paclitaxel-Induced Neuropathic Pain in Rats
Abstract: Jatropha curcas is a plant used in various parts of the world as food, medicine for pain and biofuel. The present study investigated the potential analgesic properties of ethanolic root extract of J. curcas on paclitaxel-induced neuropathic pain in rats. Neuropathic pain was induced in rats with paclitaxel. Cold allodynia was measured with cold water at 4.5 °C. Mechanical hyperalgesia was measured in the Randall-Sellito test and thermal hyperalgesia evaluated …

Analgesic Activity and Acute Toxicity Study of Zornia gibbosa Span (Samyojaki) in Mice
Abstract: The herb Zornia gibbosa Span is a member of fabaceae family and commonly known as Nellujollusoppu/Haradahacchaga in Udupi district of Karnataka. The drug is widely used in the treatment of fracture by folklore practitioners to pacify pain and inflammation. In fracture the pain is generated by multiple nociceptors presence in response to discontinuity of periosteum and endosteum during trauma. So in order to justify the folklore claims, pharmacological analysis of …

Dalk (massage): A Remedial Therapy for Waja Uz Zahr (Low Back Pain)
Abstract: Dalk (Massage) is one of the oldest forms of remedial therapy, It is a universal method that is potentially applicable in all reflex changes produced by pain (nociceptive stimuli). It is pleasurable, routinely brings relief and is therefore also very popular with patients. Massage has the potential to influence emotion, biochemistry and biomechanics, usually without adding excessively to the adaptation load, and is therefore uniquely placed to be able to …
