Geosynthetic polymeric material Reinforced Model Shallow Foundation's Monotonic and Cyclic Uplift Response Affected by Ground Inclination
Abstract: The foundation system of any structure is vital for ensuring safety, serviceability, and performance, particularly when subjected to vertical and uplift forces. While conventional foundations are primarily designed to resist compressive loads, structures such as transmission towers, offshore platforms, buried pipelines, retaining systems, and marine facilities are frequently subjected to uplift forces generated by wind, waves, buoyancy, and cyclic loading. Under such conditions, the uplift resistance of soil and uplift …

Seismic Response for RC Frames on Sloping Ground using Pushover Analysis
Abstract: Open story structures are to be mainly susceptible to collapse and severe damage under earthquake excitation in hill areas. Nowadays many buildings constructed have soft ground story for various purposes, for example, multipurpose hall, parking etc. The examination has been led to get the reaction of RC open story building exposed to seismic tremor loads. In present work, twelve storied structure on inclined ground (150 with horizontal) are considered. The …

Protection of UHV Substations and Transmission Lines against Lightning
Abstract: In combination with characteristics of the lightning performance of UHV power transmission lines and on analysing the experiences and lessons relating excessively high lightning trip-out rate on 1000 kV transmission lines in Japan. The minimization of ground wire shied angle along with distance of the gap with a proper length is an important step for shielding failure trip-out in China. So, we should pay attention to the shielding failure flashover …

Behavior of SFRC composite pile resting on sloping ground of cohesive and non-cohesive strata
Abstract: Reinforced concrete piles are increasingly being utilized in situations where there is a need to transfer loads in deep strata, particularly for infrastructure projects built on sloping grounds. The present study comprises a finite element analysis (FEA) to investigate the lateral load-bearing capacity of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) pile, embedded in sloping grounds with sandy and clayey soils. The lateral load capacity of the steel fiber reinforced concrete pile …

Analysis and Design for Homogeneous Earth Slopes
Abstract: In an aspect of geotechnical engineering problems, slope stability is a condition of inclined soil, waste heaps to withstand or undergo movement. The slope is an unprotected ground surface that can be situated at an angle of horizontal. Slopes are necessitated in the construction of railway embankments and highways, levees, bridges, earth dams, reservoirs and canals, etc., and are generally less expansive. Failures of natural and man-made slopes have demise …

Design of Solar Trap using Banana Drying Method
Abstract: Food drying techniques these days are for the most part in high utilization of power and fuel which lead to high functional expense. This has brought about a lost cause and cash because of the utilization of present day instruments requires tremendous expenses for execution. In the interim, the conventional food drying process just purposes sun beams in their cycle, where the interaction is definitely more proficient than the cutting …

Design and Implementation of PID Controller for Self Balancing Robot
Abstract: AbstractFor control engineers to study, apply and verify different control methods, inverted pendulum is a very good platform. Nearly 90% of the industries use the concept of inverted pendulum like ship balancing against of sea tide and control of rockets, space ships and landing of aero planes. The simple pendulum is stable while hanging downwards, but the inverted pendulum is a genetically unstable system. To make the inverted pendulum a …
