Artificial Intelligence–Assisted Reduced-Order Modeling and Stability Control in Granular Couette Flow
Abstract: This study develops a reduced-order and stability-aware modeling framework for dense granular Couette flow by integrating continuum mechanics, bifurcation analysis, and data-driven stability estimation. Starting from coupled governing equations for momentum, granular temperature, and microstructural evolution, the system is nondimensionalized and reduced using a Galerkin projection consistent with shear-driven boundary conditions. This yields a low-dimensional nonlinear dynamical system that preserves the essential coupling between velocity, fluctuation energy, and structural relaxation. …

API Development for Cloud Parameter Curation
Abstract: API development for cloud parameter curation is pivotal in managing and optimizing various parameters within cloud environments. This project aims to develop a set of APIs that facilitate the efficient configuration, monitoring, and management of cloud parameters such as network settings, security policies, and resource allocation. Leveraging PHP for development and GoDaddy servers for hosting, the APIs provide a scalable and accessible solution for controlling cloud parameters remotely. Security measures, …

Evaluation of Indirect Tensile Strength and Unconfined Compressive Strength of Cement Treated Granular Subbase with Copper Slag
Abstract: This study investigates the mechanical properties of Cement Treated Granular Subbase (CTGSB) with the inclusion of copper slag as a partial replacement material. The research focuses on evaluating the Indirect Tensile Strength (ITS) and Unconfined Compressive Strength (UCS) to assess the material's suitability for road construction. Various mix proportions of copper slag were analyzed to determine their effect on strength development. The results revealed that the ITS increased from 0.79 …

DEM Simulation of Macro and Micro-scale Behavior of Granular Materials during Loading and Unloading
Abstract: The present paper aims at comparing the simulated stress-strain behavior of granular materials quantitatively with the experiment and exploring the evolution of the micro-scale behaviors during loading and unloading using the discrete element method (DEM). A numerical sample consisting of 9826 randomly generated spheres similar to the experiment was prepared. The numerically prepared isotropic sample was subjected to loading and unloading under strain controlled condition. It is noticed that the …
