Experimental and Numerical Studies on Radial Tensile Strength of Composite Rotor
Abstract: This paper describes the experimental and numerical studies on the radial tensile strength (RTS) of composite rotor. Carbon/epoxy composite rotors were fabricated using a filament winding process and their radial tensile strength was determined by diametric tensile testing of composite C-rings. The radial tensile strength of the composite rotor was measured as ~ 22 MPa and the failure was found to occur circumferentially symmetric about the horizontal plane of the …

Durability Assessment of Self Compacting, Self Curing Concrete Incorporating Crushed Rock Powder and Mineral Admixtures
Abstract: Curing plays a crucial role in achieving the desired strength, characteristics, and durability of concrete. Negligent curing practices can lead to adverse effects on hydration and mechanical properties of concrete. In recent times, self-curing concrete has gained significant attention due to its potential in reducing water loss through the use of self-curing agents. The Present Research study focus on investigation on durability characteristics of self-curing self-compacting concrete using crushed rock …

Experimental Analysis of Residual Stress, Micro-Hardness and Corrosion Behavior of HVOF Sprayed Composite Coating
Abstract: The utilisation of non-traditional composite coating materials, enhanced lubrication, and surface geometry optimisation have all contributed to the tribological performance. Piston rings are among the most crucial engine parts since friction causes between 40 and 45 percent of all energy loss. Fuel efficiency, power loss, and exhaust pollutants are all strongly impacted by the piston assembly's tribological performance. The present study's primary goal was to develop composite coating by using …

Synthesis, Characterization, Biological evaluation, and in silico study of aniline derivatives
Abstract: In many hospitals worldwide, bacterial infections brought on by resistant strains are wreaking havoc, particularly in patients who are already impaired by age, disease, and other conditions. Due to the bacterial resistance, it is required to search for newer antibacterial drugs or molecules. In the current study, we aimed to develop aniline derivatives, followed by their anti-bacterial and in silico studies. Out of all the synthesized derivatives, compound 4d was …

Quad-Band Notched Small Monopole Antenna with U-shaped Slots and SRRs for UWB Applications
Abstract: A quad-band notched small monopole antenna with U-shaped slots and SRRs for UWB applications is presented in this study. The quadruple band-notched characteristics can be achieved by embedding three U-shaped slots on the radiation patch and two split ring resonators (SRRs) near feed line, respectively. It has a tiny size, only 17 mm23 mm0.508 mm. The experimental and measured results demonstrate that the proposed antenna offers an impedance bandwidth across …

Improving Parachute Efficiency: The Function of LS- Dyna in Fluid-structure Interaction Simulation
Abstract: As an accompaniment to assessment of DGA Aeronautical Systems created a simulation and model-building capability to gain a better understanding of the parachute dynamic behavior and to maximize the parachute systems flight tests. This work reports on the latest developments in Arbitrary Lagrangian mathematical (ALE) methods for analyzing the properties of the quasi-steady state descent phases and canopy inflation. Thus far, none of the simulations of the endless mass type …

Fluid-Structure Interaction Simulation of Parachute by Eulerian-Lagrangian penalty method
Abstract: In general, modeling and simulation of a model consisting of fluid and solid combinations has been considered difficult, and it has become impossible in terms of computer dependencies and accuracy to be analyzed by Fluent or other programs. The parachute evaluation process, which is historically based on a large amount of experimental data, necessitates many falling experiments. These tests can be costly and time-consuming, and they don't always allow for …

Polymer Waste-Derived Activated Carbon from PET for High-Efficiency Supercapacitor Electrodes
Abstract: The exponential increase in plastic waste, particularly Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)—a polymer characterized by its repeating aromatic terephthalate units and ester linkages—has escalated into a global environmental crisis. This study details a low-cost synthesis of porous carbon materials derived from waste PET via pyrolysis followed by chemical activation with calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2). During pyrolysis, the PET polymer chains undergo thermal degradation, where the aromatic rings in the backbone serve as precursors …

Managing Blow-by in Modern Engines: A Comprehensive Review of Crankcase Ventilation Technologies
Abstract: Blow-by in internal combustion (IC) engines occurs when high-pressure combustion gases escape past the piston rings into the crankcase. These gases typically carry oil aerosols, unburned hydrocarbons, and fine particulate matter, which, if not effectively managed, can disrupt lubrication, accelerate component wear, and contribute to harmful emissions. Effective crankcase ventilation is therefore essential not only for ensuring engine durability but also for meeting increasingly stringent emission regulations. This paper examines …

Study on the Profile and Flow Field Variation of Parachute Coating by Seven-hole Probe Method
Abstract: In general, the parachute test is a long test cycle, expensive, and difficult to measure with accuracy, which makes it a very laborious and time-consuming task. Therefore, attempts have been made to overcome this by using a parachute test stand or by simulation, but in our country, there is no numerical simulation of the parachute and there is no research on it. In this paper, the variation of the shape …
