Spatiotemporal Modeling of Soil Erosion Under Agricultural Expansion in the Amravati Basin, India Using RUSLE–GIS
Abstract: Agricultural expansion and soil erosion are important environmental issues in areas where agriculture is a major source of livelihood. This study analyzes the spatial and temporal patterns of soil erosion in the Amravati Basin of Maharashtra and evaluates the impact of agricultural expansion using the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) integrated with Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques. Multi-source data, such as satellite imagery, rainfall records, soil characteristics, and topography …

Land Use and Land Cover Change: A Comprehensive Review of Environmental Implications
Abstract: Changes in land use and cover have a substantial impact on environmental dynamics and sustainability. These changes arise from various human activities, including urbanization, agriculture, and forestry, and have profound implications for biodiversity, ecosystem services, and land health. As urban areas expand, often at the expense of agricultural and forested landscapes, the transformation of land use alters ecological processes, leading to habitat loss and fragmentation. This article examines the implications …

Biodiversity Loss and Its Impact on Dietary Land Diversity and Nutritional Status: A Comprehensive Review
Abstract: Habitat destruction, climate change, overexploitation, and agricultural intensification contribute to the current predicament in global food systems: Loss of biodiversity means less plant and animal species to be utilized. This study examines and synthesizes the available literature in PubMed and Scopus on how losses in biodiversity adversely affect people’s diets and nutritional status, especially in the case of malnutrition and missing key micronutrients of certain demographic cohorts. Harnessing Ethylene and Brassinosteroids for Enhanced Agricultural Productivity and Food Quality
Abstract: This study provides a comprehensive review of the roles of ethylene and brassinosteroids, two vital hormonal regulators in plants, focusing on their impact on fruit ripening, stress responses, and overall plant growth. Ethylene, a gaseous plant hormone, is recognized as a key regulator in various physiological processes, particularly in the maturation of fruits. Its involvement in the ripening process has profound implications for agricultural practices, as it directly influences the …
