Thevenin and Norton Resistance Using Time Domain Analyses Using Spice Simulations
Abstract: Thevenin and Norton equivalent circuits are of interest to circuit simulation designers and researchers. For the Thevenin resistance and Norton conductance determination of a network with available circuit theorems, the substitution network theorem (applied to OrCAD, SPICE, and Pspice AD simulation project) is shown to be suitable with the SPICE/ Pspice circuit simulation software. Instead of the DC option, the transient analyses option of SPICE is used to determine Thevenin/Norton …

Computer Modeling of Organic Thin Film Transistors (OTFTs) using Verilog-A
Abstract: AbstractOrganic electronics has drawn considerable attention of the researchers with organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) as key components for various applications. Compared to the silicon industry where public models are well defined and commonly used to provide designers with a relative good description of any process, organic devices are still lacking for their complete device models that can fully describe their electrical characteristics. Therefore, compact model development for OTFTs is …

Spice Circuits for Optic Cellular Receiver Simulations
Abstract: A circuit-theoretic approach to the generation of equivalent circuit models of optoelectronic and integrated photonic receiver applications is presented, especially optical cellular receiver systems. In a conventional circuit, the parameters of nano-inductance, nano-capacitance, impedance and scattering (S) parameters can be effectively applied to the analog equivalent representation of a conventional circuit. In a fiber-optic system, those parameters can be used in an integrated photonics and optoelectronic and nanoelectronic circuit as …

SPICE2G and PSPICE Circuit Simulation of h and g Two Port Networks
Abstract: AbstractMethods to simulate two port electronics circuits whose hybrid (h) and inverse hybrid (g) parameters are available for circuit designer are given using Spice2G/Pspice analysis programs. Starting from the definitions of two port h parameters, Spice2G and Pspice compatible equations for various frequencies are derived and compatible sub circuits for h,g two ports are obtained both at DC and AC. Effective and extensive use of Spice2G elements (voltage/current controlled current/voltage …

Equivalent Linear Circuit for Thevenin and Norton Representation Using Superposition Theorem
Abstract: Using superposition theorem and knowing the Thevenin representation consisting of resistor, independent DC source of a network an equivalent DC network is obtained using SPICE software with linear circuit elements and independent sources and is verified. Also, similarly from the Norton representation, equivalent circuit is obtained. A procedure with Pspice methods to obtain unknown circuit elements using reciprocity theorem is described. Possible examples for (a) only resistive networks and (b) …

A Differentiator Based on Second Generation Current Controlled Conveyor
Abstract: A new second generation current controlled conveyor (CCCII) with programmable gain at output terminal ‘Z’ is presented in this paper. The inherent advantages of the proposed circuits are low supply voltage requirement of ±0.85 V, small input parasitic resistance in the range of 29.12 Ω–297.71 Ω for a current range of 10 µA–300 µA, low power dissipation of 79.39 µw and low DC current error of 0.068%. The proposed CCCII …

T-π Network Simulation and Thevenin- Norton Equivalent Circuit Values From Laplace Description Using Pspice Software
Abstract: From the conversion methods of T-π (star-delta) for impedances circuits, the behavioral modeling of Pspice simulation program is used to obtain equivalent circuits using LAPLACE option. The conversions are verified for two types of circuits by obtaining AC values of voltages and currents at various nodes and branches using Pspice computer simulations. There are many ways of expressing Thevenin/Norton equivalent circuit parameters such as (a) as real numbers for pure …
