Expanding Hicks Contraction Theory, Multi-Valued Mappings in Generalized b-Menger Spaces
Abstract: This paper extends the Hicks contraction theory to multi-valued mappings within generalized b-Manger spaces, a class of metric-like structures that accommodate more flexible distance functions. By introducing new definitions, such as generalized admissibility conditions and weak compatibility in the multivalued sense, we provide a comprehensive analysis of how these contractions behave in broader topological and metric contexts. Our approach systematically generalizes classical contraction principles by relaxing conventional constraints, thereby broadening …

Generative Design of Bioactive Orthopedic Composites for Fracture Repair Using an Integrated Conditional GAN–Transformer Framework: A Multi-Objective Approach
Abstract: Orthopedic composite implants for fracture repair must simultaneously satisfy conflicting mechanical and biological demands: high fracture toughness, sufficient compressive stiffness, and bioactive surface chemistry enabling osteoblast adhesion and mineralization. Existing design approaches rely on trial-and-error experimentation, yielding sub-optimal trade-offs between these objectives. This paper presents an integrated conditional Generative Adversarial Network–Transformer (cGAN-T) framework for fully computational, multi-objective generative design of hydroxyapatite (HA)-reinforced polymer composite microstructures targeting Orthopedic fracture repair. A …

Very Short-Term Load Forecasting Using Gaussian Process Regression
Abstract: Very Short-Term Load Forecasting (VSTLF) is critical for real-time grid stability, frequency control, and economic dispatch. This study proposes a Gaussian Process Regression (GPR)-based framework for one-hour-ahead load forecasting using hourly data from January 2020 to April 2024 for Delhi, India. The model incorporates meteorological data such as temperature, humidity, and dew point with lagged load values. The research takes into account time-related dependencies and seasonal changes in order to …

Sensor Technologies in Robotics: A Review of Vision, Tactile, and Proximity Sensing Systems
Abstract: Robotics has undergone remarkable advancements in recent decades, largely driven by the integration of cutting-edge sensor technologies. Sensors serve as crucial for allowing robots to precisely logic, interpret, and react to the world around them. Among the most essential sensor types used in robotics are vision sensors, tactile sensors, and proximity sensors. These technologies strengthen a robot’s capacity for successful navigation, for example, object manipulation, and contact with people and …

The Ethics and Implications of Brain–Computer Interfaces: Enhancing Human Abilities and Redefining Privacy
Abstract: This study addresses the ethical considerations and social implications of brain–computer interface (BCI) development and integration. BCI, sometimes called a brain-machine interface (BMI) or smart brain, is a direct communication path between the brain and electrical activity and an external device, usually a computer or robotic limb. BCIs are often directed towards researching, mapping, assisting, improving, or correcting human cognitive or sensorimotor functions. The implementation of BCIs varies from non-invasive …

Machine Learning-Based Quantification of Polymer Structure Property Relationships for Predictive Material Design
Abstract: Polymer structures exhibit complex, hierarchical arrangements that strongly influence macroscopic properties, yet consistent quantification remains challenging due to nonlinear interactions and limited unified modeling strategies. Existing approaches inadequately capture generalized structure–property mappings across diverse polymer systems. This research aims to establish a machine learning-based quantification model for polymer structure–property relationships to support predictive material design. A Polymer Structure Property Dataset of 5,000 polymer samples includes structural descriptors and experimentally measured …

Spatiotemporal Modeling of Soil Erosion Under Agricultural Expansion in the Amravati Basin, India Using RUSLE–GIS
Abstract: Agricultural expansion and soil erosion are important environmental issues in areas where agriculture is a major source of livelihood. This study analyzes the spatial and temporal patterns of soil erosion in the Amravati Basin of Maharashtra and evaluates the impact of agricultural expansion using the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation (RUSLE) integrated with Geographic Information System (GIS) techniques. Multi-source data, such as satellite imagery, rainfall records, soil characteristics, and topography …

Integrating Genetic Algorithms with Lean Manufacturing for Enhanced Production Efficiency
Abstract: Lean manufacturing is a well-established philosophy focusing on the systematic reduction of waste and the ongoing development of value supplied to the customer. It emphasizes efficiency, quality, and adaptability through ideas such as just-in-time production, continuous improvement (Kaizen), and value stream optimization. However, the increased complexity of modern production systems, driven by global rivalry, product variety, and rapid technology innovation, has shown the limitations of classic lean tools in achieving …

Optimized Utilization of Kota Stone Slurry Waste in Fly Ash–Based Geopolymer Mortar: A Taguchi-Driven Approach
Abstract: The large-scale generation of stone-processing wastes presents a critical sustainability challenge and an opportunity for value-added reuse in construction materials. This study develops a high-performance fly ash geopolymer mortar by partially replacing Class F fly ash with Kota stone slurry waste (KSSW) and optimizing the key mix parameters using a Taguchi design framework. Five governing factors—binder replacement level, NaOH molarity, sodium silicate–to–sodium hydroxide ratio (SS/SH), curing temperature, and alkaline solution-to-binder …
