Experimental Analysis of Nano-carbon Doped Alumina for Industrial Applications
Abstract: The use of nano-carbon metal matrix composites can provide a solution to the enduring issue of optimal material selection and optimization for getting metal-insulator transition (MIT) behavior at a particular frequency at ambient temperature. Other substances, like two-dimensional (2D) transition metal dichalcogenides (TMD), vanadium oxide (VO2), and germanium telluride (Ge-Te), have difficult challenges in achieving effectively the MIT property at a given frequency and temperature. It is also difficult to …

Design of Disturbance Observer for Third- Order Interval Plants
Abstract: This paper outlines the development of a disturbance observer (DOB) specifically tailored for third-order interval plants, which are distinguished by uncertainties in their parameters. Utilizing an interval-based modeling approach, this design effectively captures variations in system dynamics, providing robust control solutions for plants with parameter uncertainties. The key focus is creating a disturbance observer capable of real-time estimation and compensation for external disturbances and model uncertainties. The proposed DOB is …

Design and Performance Analysis of Microwave Filters and Resonators for High-Frequency Systems
Abstract: Microwave filters and resonators are fundamental components in high-frequency systems, playing a crucial role in signal selection, interference suppression, and frequency stabilization. This review presents a detailed analysis of design methodologies and performance characteristics of microwave filters and resonators used in modern communication and radar applications. Various filter topologies, including low-pass, high- pass, band-pass, and band-stop configurations, are examined with respect to their frequency response, insertion loss, selectivity, and bandwidth. …

Designing Digital Filters of Underwater Wireless Sensor Node
Abstract: Underwater Wireless Sensor Networks (UWSNs), an emerging area, integrate sensing, computing, and communication into a single compact device. The digital data is acquired using an FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array), and the fusion of numerous sensor data is accomplished in the sensor node’s ARM (Advanced RISC Machine) CPU. The sensor interfacing circuit should connect the sensor to the sensor node’s data collecting system. The data from these sensors may be …

Development of Compact RF Filters for Modern Wireless Communication Systems
Abstract: Modern wireless communication systems such as 5G, 6G, Internet of Things (IoT), satellite communication, radar systems, and smart wireless networks require compact and highly efficient RF filters for reliable signal transmission and interference suppression. RF filters are important components that allow desired frequency signals to pass while rejecting unwanted frequencies and noise. With the rapid growth of wireless devices and limited spectrum resources, the demand for miniaturized, low-loss, multi-band, and …

Enhancing Control with Embedded Ssvep-Bci
Abstract: Brain–Computer Interface (BCI) technology establishes a direct communication link between the human brain and external devices without relying on muscular activity. Among various BCI paradigms, the Steady-State Visually Evoked Potential (SSVEP)-based approach has gained significant attention due to its high signal-to-noise ratio, minimal user training, and suitability for real-time applications. However, implementing such systems on embedded hardware presents challenges such as limited computational resources, signal noise, and latency in processing. …

Dielectric Polymer Based Tunable Bandpass Filter for RF MEMS Applications
Abstract: In this paper, we report on the design, modeling, and analysis of a tunable bandpass filter implemented in a coplanar waveguide (CPW) configuration, where a distributed MEMS transmission line (DMTL) is integrated with dielectric polymer layers to achieve dynamic frequency and bandwidth reconfigurability. The proposed filter architecture leverages the tunable dielectric response of polymer films, enabling precise control of the center frequency and passband width under applied electrostatic bias. Comprehensive …

Passenger car fuel economy: Insights from big data analytics
Abstract: The increasing availability of real-world vehicle telematics through On-Board Diagnostics II (OBD-II) systems has enabled data-driven evaluation of passenger car fuel economy beyond conventional laboratory-based test cycles. While standardized certification procedures ensure repeatability, they often fail to capture the influence of real-world traffic conditions, driver behaviour, and transient vehicle operation. This study presents a structured Big Data Analytics (BDA) approach for analysing high-frequency OBD-II data collected from a gasoline passenger …
