Percentage Changes According to Pathological Finding of Gastric Cancer from H. pylori Infections
Abstract: Helicobacter pylori accounts for more than half of the world population in the pathogenesis of gastric cancer. The incidence of gastric cancer among patients with H. pylori infection is 2.7–6 times more than normal. Recently, it has been a worldwide trend to verify the existence of H. pylori using endoscope among all the patients with complaints of digestive abnormality and then introduce anti-cancer therapy with antibacterial therapy from an early …

The Role of Helicobacter pylori in Stomach Cancer Incidence: A Study in Rural Communities in Rajasthan
Abstract: Background: Stomach cancer remains a major global health challenge, with a particularly high burden in developing regions. Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection is a known risk factor for gastric malignancy. In India, especially in rural states like Rajasthan, there is limited data on the prevalence of H. pylori and its association with stomach cancer, despite the high incidence of gastric diseases. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted among rural communities …

Antibiotic Resistance Patterns of Helicobacter pylori in Africa
Abstract: To eradicate Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori), antibiotic therapy must be adapted to the local resistance patterns. However, the epidemiology of drug resistance pattern of H. pylori is poorly documented in Africa. Therefore, the present review is aimed to review the prevalence of antibiotic resistant H. pylori from previous studies in Africa. A computerized English language literature search of PubMed, MEDLINE and Google Scholar was performed in January 2016. Only 11 …

Biochemical and Structural Characterization of Helicobacter pylori Peptide deformylase by Computational Methods
Abstract: Helicobacter pylorus is classified as class one carcinogen in causing gastric cancer. Peptide deformylases (PDFs) present in bacteria removes the formyl group from the N-terminal Methionine of newly synthesized proteins which is necessary in protein maturation. These enzymes have shown as new targets in antibacterial, antimalarial and anticancer drug discovery. Here an insilico technique was initiated to characterize structural and biochemical properties of this protein. Pair wise sequence alignment with …

Development of vaccine against Helicobacter pylori using Bioinformatics approaches
Abstract: Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) are a widespread kind of bacteria which flourish in the digestive tract and have a propensity to damage the stomach lining. The microbe infects around 60% of the adults globally. H. pylori infections are responsible for most of stomach and small intestine ulcers. Using Bioinformatics approaches, we have identified certain proteins that possess the resistance, essentiality and virulence factors for this pathogen. Computational tools and servers …

Stability Indicating HPLC Method for Drugs Indicated for Helicobacter Pylori-associated Ulcers
Abstract: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE AR-SA MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Triple therapy regimen that comprises a proton pump inhibitor likes Omeprazole, antibiotics like Doxycycline and Tinidazole can be used for treatment of peptic ulceration which is caused by H. pylori. A validated HPLC method was developed as a stability-indicating HPLC method for these drugs and its impurities. New method overcame interference between Doxycycline and its epimer on achiral column by using …

A Systematic Review on Peptic Ulcer Disease and its Pharmacological Treatment
Abstract: A chronic gastrointestinal condition known as Peptic Ulcer Disease (PUD) is typified by the formation of ulcers or mucosal erosions in the proximal duodenum and stomach. In the pathophysiology of PUD, the equilibrium between defensive processes like mucus and bicarbonate secretion, mucosal blood flow, and prostaglandin production, and aggressive factors such stomach acid secretion, pepsin activity, and Helicobacter pylori infection, is upset. Although stress and food have historically been blamed, …

Unraveling Ulcerogenesis: A Comprehensive Delve of Enteric & Nonenteric Ulcers
Abstract: Enteric ulcers present a multifaceted landscape encompassing both peptic and non-peptic varieties, demanding a thorough exploration of their manifestations, causes, and pathophysiology. At the forefront of understanding lie pivotal factors such as Helicobacter pylori infection, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs usage, lifestyle choices, and stress, each wielding significant influence over ulcer development and progression. The intricate interplay of these factors underscores the complexity of enteric ulcer etiology. Helicobacter pylori infection—a prevalent culprit—inflicts …

Systematic Review on: Peptic Ulcer and Its Management
Abstract: Peptic ulcer disease (PUD), which affects 5–10% of people worldwide, is still a significant global health concern. Gastric acid and pepsin's corrosive effects cause mucosal injury in the stomach, duodenum, or lower oesophagus. Long-term use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and Helicobacter pylori infection are the primary reasons. This review's goal is to examine PUD's aetiology, risk factors, pathophysiology, clinical symptoms, diagnostic methods, and evidence-based treatment modalities. PubMed, Google Scholar, …

Epidemiology of Stomach Cancer in Northeastern States of India: Focusing on Nagaland and the Effectiveness of Screening Programs
Abstract: Stomach cancer represents a critical public health burden in northeastern India, with Nagaland exhibiting the highest age-standardized incidence rate in the country - nearly triple the national average. This elevated risk profile stems from multiple factors including traditional dietary practices (high consumption of smoked meats and fermented foods), widespread Helicobacter pylori infection (affecting approximately 70% of adults), prevalent tobacco/alcohol use, and limited healthcare infrastructure. Despite demonstrated success of endoscopic screening …

Uncommon Occurrence of Gastric Adenocarcinoma Occurring in a Patient with Common Variable Immunodeficiency Syndrome
Abstract: Common variable immunodeficiency (CVID) belongs to the diagnostic category of primary immunodeficiency (PID). They are characterized by a heterogeneous group of disorders that include recurrent infections, autoimmunity, granulomatous diseases and malignancies. The incidence of malignancy in CVID patients is around 1.5–20.7% and usually occurs during the 4th–6th decade of life. Non-hodgkin lymphoma is the most frequent malignancy, followed by epithelial tumors of stomach, breast, bladder and cervix. Patients with CVID …
