Isolation and Characterization of Gelatinase Producing Halophilic Bacteria from the Sediments of Pichavaram Mangrove Forest, Tamil Nadu State, South India
Abstract: Microorganisms are the most important sources for production of enzyme especially bacteria which have the ability to synthesis gelatinase enzyme has been screened and isolated from Pichavaram mangrove forest soil. This enzyme is capable of degrading gelatin and collagen proteins. The organism was isolated from the mangrove sediments; the genomic DNA was extracted, amplified by 785F and 907R primers, sequenced and identified. Gelatinase producing organism was identified as Bacillus thuringiensis. …

A Study for the Presence of Enterococcal Virulence Factors Gelatinase, Haemolysin among Clinical Isolates in a Tertiary Care Hospital
Abstract: Enterococcus, considered a normal commensal of intestinal tract, is fast emerging pathogen causing serious infection. Despite the increasing importance of Enterococcus as opportunistic pathogens, their virulence factors are still poorly understood. The potential virulence factors of Enterococci include production of enterococcal surface protein (Esp), gelatinase, and haemolysin. Gelatinase- and haemolysin-producing strains of Enterococcus faecalis have been shown to be virulent in animal models of enterococcal infections. This study was undertaken …

Rheumatoid Arthritis and Stem Cell Therapies Perspectives for It
Abstract: Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disorder characterized by systemic inflammation, primarily affecting synovial joints, leading to joint destruction and systemic complications. The pathogenesis involves immune system dysregulation, autoantibody production, and enzymatic imbalances. Enzymes, including matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs), serine proteases, and kinases, play crucial roles in these processes. Their dysregulation contributes significantly to disease progression through the imbalance of pro-inflammatory cytokines, oxidative stress, and extracellular matrix (ECM) degradation. MMPs, …

A Review: A Source of Industrially Important Enzymes from Marine Actinomycetes
Abstract: Actinomycetes are Gram-positive, spore-forming, filamentous actinobacteria which usually contain G+C content of about 57–75% in their DNA. Actinomycetes are considered as a unique group of a microorganism having the characters of the true bacteria and the true fungi. Actinomycetes that have been detected from extreme conditions are considered to be sources of new enzymes of great industrial potential. They produce valuable secondary metabolites and industrially significant enzymes like pectinase, amylase, …

In vitro Antibacterial Activity of Dietary Spice Trigonella foenum-graecum and Syzygium aromaticum
Abstract: Multi-drug resistant strains of bacteria are broadly distributed in hospitals and are progressively being isolated from community. The aim of the contemporary study was to govern the potential of spices Trigonella foenum-graecum (Fenugreek) and Syzygium aromaticum (Clove) as antibacterial mediators against drug resistant and virulent strains of gram negative pathogens quarantined from urinary pathway infections. Twelve bacterial isolates from urinary tract infections were studied for their ability to produce virulence …

Characterization of Endofungus Aspergillus nomius EF8-RSM Isolated from Aloe vera Western Ghats of Karnataka India
Abstract: The objective of the present research investigation was to reveal the versatile nature of endophytic Aspergillus nomius EF8-RSM. The fungus was purified from Aloe vera, Western Ghats of Karnataka, India and sequence was submitted at NCBI under the accession number MN871698. The fungus successfully produced Indole acetic acid at the rate of 49.21±6.1 μg/ml and phosphate solubilization was confirmed with solubilization index (1.63). The fungus showed production of siderophore, ammonia …
