A New Analytical Expression of Channel Capacity with MRC Diversity Over Composite Model of α-μ/Inverse Gaussian Fading Distribution
Abstract: Abstract: Fading in a wireless communication system occurs basically due to two phenomena, multipath fading, and shadowing. A realistic scenario would comprise of both the phenomenon occurring simultaneously. Such a scenario is frequently characterized by a composite model of multipath/shadowing fading. In this work, a novel expression for the composite model of αμ/Inverse-Gaussian (IG) distribution with MRC diversity is obtained using the GaussLaguerre integration technique. Further utilizing the obtained expression …

Numerical Simulation of Anomalous Diffusion in Levy Random Walk Processes by Monte Carlo Method
Abstract: We have simulated the nonlinear behaviour of mean square displacement <r2>, with time based on Levy random walk model. By analysing different prospects, we came to the conclusion that, Levy random walk with continuous step length distribution gives rise to <r2> which behaves nonlinearly with time. This is only observable, when time average is taken and ensemble average does not lead to any nonlinearity. It also indicated the non-ergodic property …

Fuzzy Minimum Spanning Tree Problem: A Greedy Algorithm using Quasi-Gaussian Fuzzy Weights
Abstract: The classical Minimum Spanning Tree Problem (MST) deals with determining the spanning tree in a given undirected graph G(V, E) for which the sum of the weights assigned to the edges is minimum. The weights assigned to the edges are real numbers representing parameters like demand, cost, link capacity and distance which are not naturally precise and the uncertainty involved can be modelled using fuzzy numbers. There are several types …

On Some Length-biased Distributions: An Overview
Abstract: AbstractThis paper review works on some length-biased distributions. The length-biased distributions received much attention in the literature since they occur naturally in many situations where it is not possible to work with a truly random sample from the population of interest. Some important length-biased distributions studied in the recent literature are length-biased versions of Inverse Gaussian, Log-normal, Beta Type I and Type II, Weighted Generalized Rayleigh and Birnbaum-Saunders distributions are …
