Adsorption of Congo Red Dye in Aqueous Solution using Moringa oleifera Seed Powder
Abstract: The feasibility of using Moringa oleifera seed for the Congo red adsorption from aqueous solution has been investigated as a low cost and an eco-friendly adsorbent. Adsorption studies were conducted on a batch process, to study the effects of contact time, initial dye concentration and adsorbent dosage. Maximum colour removal was observed at higher adsorbent dosage. The present dye removal decreased from 95% to 81% as the dye concentration has …

Optical and Photocatalytic Activity Of Cmc Capped Zinc Selenide Nanoparticles Under UV Light Irradiation Using Congo Red Dye
Abstract: In this work, we report the, optical, structural morphology and photocatalytic activity of CMC capped zinc selenide nanoparticles, which have been synthesized by hydrothermal method. CMC is acted as capping agent. The nanoparticles were characterized using XRD, SEM with EDAX, AFM, TEM and UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy. The structural properties of nanoparticles have been characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. The XRD patterns show a hexagonal Wurtzite crystal structure. The surface …

EXPERIMENTAL STUDIES ON ADSORPTION BY MAGNIFERA INDICA LEAVES
Abstract: Decolourisation of dye (Congo red) from aqueous solution using an adsorbent prepared from Mango leaf was investigated in this study. The influence of time of mechanical shaking , mass of adsorbent(0.5,1,1.5,2 mg), initial pH, initial concentration (2000 ,1500,1000,500,250 mg/L) on adsorption has been evaluated. It is shown that adsorbent prepared from Mango leaf powder has a relatively high adsorption capacity for these adsorbates. For 500 mg/L of solution prepared, the …

Synthesis of Copper Nanoparticles using Alternanthera Sessilis Linn Leaf Aqueous Extract and their Characterization
Abstract: The current study describes the biogenesis of Cu NPs using an aqueous extract of the leaf of Alternanthera sessilisLinn. (A.S). recently, biological synthesis of nanoparticles has gained popularity due to the fact that it is eco-friendly, simple, cost-effective, non-hazardous, and extreme conditions. The aqueous extract of Alternanthera sessilisleaf contains enoughterpenoids, carbohydrates, and flavonoids to convert metal ions into metal and thus stabilize the resulting nanoparticles. The UV-visible spectrophotometer confirmed the …

Applications of Nanomaterials in Membrane Separation for Effluent Treatment in the Textile Industry
Abstract: The textile industry makes a significant contribution to economic growth. As the global population continues to increase exponentially, production rates are also on the rise to meet this growing demand. Unfortunately, this surge in production often leads to noncompliance with environmental regulations. While the textile industry supports economic development, it also contributes to serious pollution. Various dyes, such as azo dyes, Congo Red (CR), Crystal Violet, methylene blue, and methyl …

Tsetse Flies and African Trypanosomiasis: Biology, Epidemiology, and Integrated Vector Control.
Abstract: Tsetse flies (Glossina spp.) are hematophagous dipterans confined to sub-Saharan Africa and serve as cyclical vectors of human African trypanosomiasis (HAT) and African animal trypanosomiasis (AAT), with major implications for human health, livestock productivity, and rural development. An integrated understanding of tsetse biology, parasite transmission, climate, and land–use–driven distribution shifts, and the comparative performance of control tools—especially insecticides and sterile insect technique (SIT)—is essential for designing sustainable elimination strategies. HAT …
