Formulation, Evaluation, and Stability Studies of a Topical Clotrimazole and Zinc Oxide Suspension with Enhanced Skin Protective Properties
Abstract: Background: Clotrimazole is a well-known antifungal agent frequently used in the treatment of various superficial fungal infections, while Zinc Oxide is a widely accepted skin protectant with soothing, astringent, and antimicrobial properties. Combining these agents in a topical suspension offers a dual therapeutic approach, enhancing both antifungal efficacy and skin protection. Objective: The objective of this study was to formulate, evaluate, and conduct stability studies on topical suspensions containing Clotrimazole …

Topical Luliconazole for the Management of Fungal Infections: A Review
Abstract: Luliconazole, an antifungal agent of the imidazole class, possesses a distinctive structure where the imidazole component is fused with the ketene dithioacetate configuration. It exists in its R-enantiomer form, which exhibits greater antifungal efficacy compared to lanoconazole, a compound comprising a racemic blend. Strong action is shown by luliconazole against filamentous fungi, such as dermatophytes. The pharmacokinetic characteristics of dermatophytes, such as Trichophyton rubrum and Microsporum gypseum, help explain why …

TOXICOLOGY: Present-Day Difficulties for Investigating Safety Science and Target Safety Evaluation of Major Human Hepatocytes
Abstract: Preclinical toxicology has developed into a more thorough understanding of toxicity pathways from its descriptive beginnings. Technological developments have made it possible to forecast safety occurrences, mitigate adverse effects, and create safety biomarkers. Because they are able to self-renew and specialize into different types of human body cells, stem cells are currently being employed for in vitro toxicological applications. However, as compared to primary human hepatocytes, stem cell-derived HLCs perform …
