Production and optimization of amylase enzyme using bacillus subtilis under solid state fermentation and its characterization
Abstract: This study employed solid state fermentation to maximize amylase production by Bacillus subtilis (OR578403). The research began by discovering and analyzing amylase-producing bacteria in soil samples followed with biochemical, molecular characterization. By using commercially available substrates like wheat bran, rice bran, and wheat rava were obtained from the local market and employed as solid substrates, which may influence amylase production and to be assessed. The identified organism was Bacillus subtilis, …

Aspergillus Oryzae: Multifunctional Powerhouse Revolutionizing Food Industries and Gut Health
Abstract: Aspergillus oryzae, commonly known as “Koji mold,” is a filamentous fungus extensively utilized in various food industries due to its robust enzymatic activity and generally recognized as safe (GRAS) status. This review explores its diverse applications, focusing on its role in fermented food production, enzyme generation, and contributions to gut health. In the production of fermented foods, such as soy sauce, miso, and sake, A. oryzae serves as a crucial …

Synthesis, Molecular Docking and Biological Evaluation of Novel Chlorobenzenesulfonamide Analogues of Ibuprofen as Anti-Bacterial, Anti-Diabetic and Anti-Alzheimer Agents
Abstract: In this work, we have synthesized novel chlorobenzensulfonamide tertiary amide based analogues of Ibuprofen (Ibu) and investigated them for their anti-bacterial, anti-diabetic and anti-Alzheimer activities. In the first step, Ibu was converted to amide derivatives by incorporating different aromatic amines. These were further converted into sulfonamide analogues (Sul-Ibu, 1-9) by treating it with p-chlorobenzensulfonyl chloride. Sul-Ibu (1-9) were screened against S. aureus, B. subtilis, S. mutans, E. coli, P. aeruginosa, …

Fungi as Environmental Guardians: Enzymatic Solutions to Pollution
Abstract: Fungi are simple and inexpensive to cultivate, like miniature factories. Their enzymes are more environmentally friendly and safer for all to use compared to the use of dangerous chemicals. This review delves into how scientists are employing these enzymes to clean up polluted soil, purify wastewater, and even convert waste into valuable products such as biofuels. For example, fungi are amazing at cleaning! They create enzymes, which act as little workers …
