An Immuno-informatics Approach for the Design of Subunit Vaccine for Non-human Homolog Proteins of A.aegypti Species
Abstract: Mosquito borne diseases account for a major fraction of vector-borne diseases that account for significant morbidity amongst the population worldwide. The prevalence rate of mosquitoes in the common habitable area is so high that even after the implementation of several eradication programs their disease-causing rate is still quite significant. A.aegypti and A.albopictus are two prominent species of genus Aedes, which transmit viruses causing several infectious diseases such as dengue, zika …

In-silico Design of Multi-epitope Vaccine for Tackling Type-1 Parainfluenza Virus
Abstract: Human parainfluenza viruses (HPIV) often cause breathing infections, particularly in kids and infants. HPIV-1 is known for causing severe croup, yet no approved vaccines exist for HPIV infections. This study employed an in-silico approach to design a potential vaccine candidate targeting the fusion glycoprotein antigen of HPIV-1. Results highlighted that B-cell and T-cell epitopes were successfully identified from the fusion glycoprotein antigen using in-silico methods. Epitopes passing antigenicity, allergenicity, and …

Technology in Intelligent Food Packaging : A review
Abstract: Food packaging innovation efforts have gradually moved toward the creation of intelligent packaging since the turn of the millennium. With the use of a range of signals, intelligent food packaging typically keeps an eye on the condition of the food, its surroundings, and their interactions. This allows consumers to be informed about the safety and/or quality of the food they are purchasing. Without intervening directly, intelligent packaging recognizes and conveys …

Zika Virus E-Protein In Silico Approach and Drug Repurposing
Abstract: The mosquito borne, one of the flavivirus family, called Zika virus is a positive, single stranded RNA. ZIKV infected humans are affected by neurological disorders, birth defects and other small pain, rash etc. To relieve from these disease, the target protein of ZIKV disease is to be determined. Here, the envelope protein is taken as a target to prevent Zika virus entry in to the cells. 3D structure of ZIKV …

Flavonoids Regulate Airway MUC5AC Mucin Expression through Modulation of Multiple Signalling Pathways
Abstract: Airway mucus is a component of pulmonary innate immune function and plays very important role in defense against invading pathogenic microbes, chemicals and particles. The protective function of airway mucus is attributed to the viscoelasticity of mucins. Mucins are large glycoproteins play important role in cell–cell adhesion, airways protection, Nuclear-factor kappa B signalling, epidermal growth factor receptor signalling. Eleven mucin genes (among twenty identified mucin genes) have been expressed at …

Spectrophotometric Method for the Estimation of Levosulpiride in Bulk Drug and Formulations
Abstract: Levosulpiride having D2-dopamine receptor antagonistic activity gives ant depressive and antiulcer effect. There are three new simple accurate, rapid, economical and precise procedures for spectrophotometric estimation of Levosulpiride in bulk and pharmaceutical formulation. Levosulpiride was estimated at 291.5 nm in 0.1 N NaOH, 290 nm in 0.1 N HCl and 292.5 nm in 6.8 phosphate buffer. Linearity range was found to be 10–50 µg/mL in all the three methods. The …

In-Silico Design and Study of Novel Tetrahydro-β-Carbolines as Inhibitor of HIV-1 Reverse Transcriptase
Abstract: In the present study, we have designed 50 novel tetrahydro-β-carboline derivatives as non-nucleoside inhibitors of HIV-1 reverse transcriptase. Docking studies of designed analogs were performed by molecular modeling software AutoDock 4.2 using HIV-1 reverse transcriptase (PDB ID: 1RT2) as receptor. Lipinski rule of five parameters and toxicity parameters were derived through online servers Molinspiration and Osiris property explorer respectively. Docking parameters such as binding free energy and predicted inhibitory constant …

Interaction of Cardiotoxin with Calmodulin and its EF Hand Peptides
Abstract: Calmodulin is a ubiquitous protein having EF hand peptide(helix-loop-helix sstructural domain), which is found in all the eukaryotic cells. Calmodulin functions as a multipurpose intracellular receptor, mediating much calcium regulated processes and undergoes conformational change upon binding to calcium. These activated calmodul in then bind to a number of different target proteins, including a family of calcium/calmodul in-dependent protein kinases which then phosphorylatedserine’s or threnodies on other proteins. Cardiotoxin, snake …
