Formulation and Evaluation of Betel Leaf and Clove Based Herbal Gel
Abstract: This study developed and assessed a herbal gel comprising extracts of betel leaf (Piper betle) and clove (Syzygium aromaticum) for topical use. Herbal extracts were prepared by Soxhlet extraction and analyzed for yield, phytochemical profile and total phenolic content (TPC). The phytochemicals present were alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins and phenols, and glycosides, with a greater phenolic content for clove extract. Herbal gels were prepared using Carbopol 934 and assessed for properties, …

Develop And Assess a Multifunctional Herbal Face Pack
Abstract: This study aims to develop and assess a multifunctional herbal face pack that reduces tan lines and brightens skin through the trituration of herbal ingredients. Following preparation, the formulation is assessed using a variety of criteria, including, extrudability, stability, irritant test, physicochemical, and organoleptic factors. Physically, the formulation was found to be good, devoid of skin irritation, and able to retain its consistency even after stability in storage. An herbal …

2D QSAR Studies on Some Novel 17a-aza-D-Homo Steroids as 5α-Reductase Inhibitors
Abstract: The major circulating hormone dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is responsible for the development and progression of benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH). Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is by produced by NADPH dependent reduction of testosterone (T) under the catalytic effect of the enzyme 5α-reductase (5 alpha R). Inhibition of 5α-reductase enzyme is the novel approach for treatment of BPH. Present work describes relationship between the 5α-reductase inhibitory activity for structurally related amides and esters of 17a-Aza-D-Homo-17-one …

Changes in Physicochemical, Biochemical and Microbiological Quality Parameters of Green and Black Tea during Storage
Abstract: The shelf life of different packaged tea is very important concern of tea industry. Thealuminium packaging is better than any other packaging to determine best before use. Thusdifferent times are applicable for both green and black tea to keep their physicochemical, biochemical and microbiological parameters. The rate decrease of quality parameters(according to FSSAI regulation) are higher in Green tea (sharp changes started from 3 rdmonths) than Black tea (gradual changes) in …

Sustainable Carbon Materials for Catalysis, Energy Conversion, and Environmental Remediation
Abstract: Among the most ancient and adaptable materials used by humans, carbon finds use in a wide range of industries, including electronics, energy production, medicine, water purification, air filtration, and catalysis. Among them, activated carbon's highly developed microporous structure, remarkably large specific surface area, and adjustable surface functions have drawn a great deal of attention from both science and industry. Activated carbon materials have been widely used as molecular sieves, adsorbents …

Zeolite-Y Encapsulated Copper (II) and Cobalt (II) Species as Hybrid Nano-catalysts: Structural and Catalytic Aspects
Abstract: Special properties inherent to zeolites in facilitating the construction of novel upramolecular assemblies by encapsulation of guest molecules (metal complexes) into their large cages can be utilized to use these assembled materials as novel catalysts. These modified solids have the advantages of both behaving as the homogeneous and the heterogeneous catalytic system. In the present work, copper (II) and cobalt (II) complexes of 2-amino ethanoic acid (2-AEA) encapsulated in the …

A Comparative Analytical Study on Gandhaka Ointment Prepared by Two Different Oleaginous Bases – As a Thesis Article
Abstract: Gandhaka (purified sulphur) is broadly used in Ayurvedic dermatological preparations, particularly in Malahara Kalpana (ointment formulations), due to its well-known antimicrobial and skin-healing properties. Although classical Ayurvedic texts, such as Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana, do not directly mention Gandhaka ointment, Rasatarangini by Acharya Sadanand Sharma describes four discrete methods for preparing Gandhaka Taila (sulphur-infused oil). In this study, the third method was selected to prepare Gandhaka Taila using two …

Formulation and Evaluation of Microencapsulated Levofloxacin Gel
Abstract: To treat various buccal infectious diseases, a sustained release microencapsulated levofloxacin gel was formulated. Levofloxacin microspheres were being prepared following o/w emulsion solvent evaporation technique by varying concentrations of ethyl acetate, ethyl cellulose and tween 80. Depending on their flow properties almost all the microspheres were found to be excellent. The drug-excipient compatibility study carried out using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) resulted that the …

Material-Level Degradation of Magnetorheological Fluids Under Long-Term Cyclic Shear
Abstract: The long-term functional stability of magnetorheological fluids (MRF) remains a key limitation for their reliable use in adaptive systems and continuously operated magnetorheological devices. In this study, the intrinsic evolution of rheological properties in a commercial MRF (MRC-C1L) is systematically examined under prolonged cyclic loading, with the aim of isolating material-level degradation mechanisms independent of device-related effects. The fluid was subjected to 120,000 low-strain oscillatory shear cycles under a constant …
