Development of a Heat Actuator Using Liquid-Vapor Phase Change of R134a
Abstract: AbstractLarge volume changes can be produced by liquid-vapor phase change of working fluids which can be used in actuators as the driving power source. The temperature range of working of such actuators depends on the characteristics of the phase change working fluid. In this paper we discuss the concept and design of a heat actuator which uses liquid-vapor phase change of its working fluid for actuation of a piston. The …

Analysis on Heat Recovery of an Engine Radiator using (CH2OH)2 Based Nanofluid Having TiO2 Nano Particles
Abstract: Automobile engine produces high amount of heat in the process of combustion. This internal heat rises the temperature of engine to very high level and can damage or seize the engine parts. Hence for the safety of engine components, it needs to run at much lower temperature, which is called engine working temperature. Ethylene glycol based nanofluids are used as the working fluids for the radiator and Titanium Dioxide, Silver, …

Relative Permeability Study in Part of Geleki Oil field of Upper Assam Basin
Abstract: Relative permeability is a critical parameter for evaluation of reservoir performance. Relative permeability is a direct measure of the ability of the porous medium to allow flow of one fluid when two or more fluids are present. This flow property is the composite effect of pore-geometry, wettability, fluid saturation, saturation history, reservoir temperature, reservoir pressure, overburden pressure, rock-types, porosity and permeability types. The relative permeability curves are very important in …
