Bird-Tree Associations and Co-occurrence Patterns in Delhi: Implications for Urban Ecological Restoration and Invasive Species Management
Abstract: Urban trees and birds are intertwined indicators of ecological resilience in cities. This study maps citywide bird-tree interactions in Delhi, India, hosting more than 300 avian species. The city was divided into hexagonal grids, and bird-tree data (506 interactions) were collected through field surveys across 131 sites using standardised 1-kilometre transects. Native keystone species like ficus supported the greatest bird diversity, while invasive Prosopis juliflora was widely used for perching …

Fluid-Structure Interaction Simulation of Parachute by Eulerian-Lagrangian penalty method
Abstract: In general, modeling and simulation of a model consisting of fluid and solid combinations has been considered difficult, and it has become impossible in terms of computer dependencies and accuracy to be analyzed by Fluent or other programs. The parachute evaluation process, which is historically based on a large amount of experimental data, necessitates many falling experiments. These tests can be costly and time-consuming, and they don't always allow for …

Nutritional Status among Adolescents: Contributing Factors
Abstract: Nutritional status of adolescents is of much concern. Faulty eating habits can make them overweight and ultimately obese and even malnourished also. Obesity is a complex disorder involving an excessive amount of body fat. Obesity is not just a cosmetic concern; it increases the risk of diseases and health problems. There are various factors like biological, genetic, behavioural and environmental which contribute to obesity. An exploratory design was used to …

Effect on tunnel under varied pile loading using finite element analysis
Abstract: Use of underground space is increasing in densely populated cities. Underground excavation required extensive analysis for ground stability and to ensure the performance of a structure. Specific concerns arise during the design of the underground structures, such as the impact of excavation on nearby ground and existing building in the vicinity of excavation. Above ground structures may subject to disturbances due to any underground construction activity. This paper identifies the …
