Curry Leaf Extracts as a Natural Antimicrobial Agent for Eco-Friendly Tomato Disease Control
Abstract: Tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum) are a vital horticultural crop worldwide, valued for their nutritional and economic importance. However, bacterial diseases significantly threaten yield and quality. This study investigates the antimicrobial potential of Murraya koenigii (curry leaf) extracts as a sustainable alternative to synthetic pesticides. Ethyl acetate, methanol, and aqueous extracts were prepared and tested at 50 and 200 µg/mL against Xanthomonas campestris and Pseudomonas syringae. Ethyl acetate extracts exhibited superior antimicrobial …

Cattle Health Monitorng System with Smart Shelter
Abstract: The primary methods of managing cows prior to the development of modern cow health monitoring systems with smart shelters were manual intervention by farmers and traditional processes. These techniques were often less precise and more labour-intensive than modern technical alternatives. Livestock shelters used to often be simple structures, such as sheds or barns, that provided basic weather protection. These shelters lacked modern conveniences like climate control and mechanized feeding systems. …

Factors Affecting Farmers Participation in Soil and Water Conservation Practices at Qenshiben Watershed Central Ethiopia
Abstract: Soil erosion is among the foremost causes of declining soil resources in Ethiopia, which in turn affect agricultural productivity. To limit this problem, for the last two decades’ soil and water conservation measures have been practiced via free labor community mass-mobilization program. Following the launch of the program, farmers massively and voluntarily implemented soil and water conservation measures on the farm lands at different parts of the country. Participation of …

Assessing the Socioeconomic Impacts of Land Tenure Systems Across Different Regions
Abstract: Land tenure systems are fundamental in shaping the socioeconomic structure and dynamics of communities across the globe. These systems, which define the legal and customary relationship between individuals, groups, and the land they own, use, or occupy, hold significant implications for economic development, social equity, and environmental sustainability. They determine how land resources are accessed, managed, and transferred, thereby influencing economic activities, wealth distribution, and community stability. This article provides …

RF Energy Harvesting Techniques for Wireless Sensor Networks
Abstract: In contemporary applications like environmental monitoring, healthcare systems, industrial automation, agriculture, military surveillance, and smart cities, Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs) are crucial. However, the limited battery life of sensor nodes remains a major challenge because many sensor devices are deployed in remote or difficult-to-access locations. Frequent battery replacement or recharging increases maintenance cost, reduces network reliability, and limits long-term operation. In contemporary applications like environmental monitoring, healthcare systems, industrial automation, …

White-Rot Fungi-Based Bioprocessing for Circular Bioeconomy & Valorization of Lignocellulosic Waste
Abstract: The escalating global demand for sustainable resource management and the imperative to reduce dependence on fossil-based products have positioned the circular bioeconomy as a transformative paradigm for the 21st century. Lignocellulosic biomass, generated abundantly as agricultural and forestry residues, constitutes one of the most underexploited renewable carbon sources on Earth, yet its recalcitrant structure, interlinking cellulose, hemicellulose, and lignin, has long impeded its efficient valorization. White-rot fungi (WRF), predominantly belonging …
