Injection Pressure Optimization for Non-edible Biodiesel Blends in CRDI Engines: A Comparative Study
Abstract: The growing demand for clean and sustainable energy has increased interest in biodiesel produced from non-edible oil sources. These fuels are renewable, biodegradable, and do not compete with food resources. However, the effective use of biodiesel blends in modern diesel engines requires proper control of fuel injection parameters, particularly injection pressure. In common rail direct injection (CRDI) engines, injection pressure strongly influences spray formation, air–fuel mixing, combustion behaviour, and exhaust …

Structural Modification of Sugarcane Bagasse using Alkaline, Acid, and Bleaching Pretreatments for Enhanced Yield of Poly (1→4)-β-D-glucopyranose (Cellulose) and Hemicellulose for Utilization as Biocomposites
Abstract: Sugarcane bagasse, a lignocellulosic byproduct generated in substantial quantities by the sugar industry, represents a promising feedstock for the sustainable production of enzymes and bio-based chemicals. Its high (1→4)-β-D-glucopyranose (cellulose) content, abundant availability, and low cost make it an ideal candidate for bioconversion processes. However, the inherent recalcitrance of bagasse, primarily due to its lignin-rich matrix, necessitates effective pretreatment strategies to enhance enzymatic digestibility. This study presents a comparative investigation …

Livelihood Securities in Coastal Areas of Bay of Bengal: Some Trans-Boundary Issues
Abstract: In its simplest form, livelihood security is the ability of a household to meet its basic needs (or realize its basic rights). These needs include adequate food, health, shelter, minimal levels of income, basic education and community participation. If any of these basic needs is not met, CARE considers that household to be living in absolute poverty (Franken Berger 1996). However, simply satisfying one's basic needs, is not adequate to …
