A New Robust and High-Performance Sub-threshold XOR/XNOR Circuit
Abstract: This paper proposes an efficient 5-Transistor XOR/XNOR circuit. The proposed circuit exhibits higher performance, lower power dissipation and power-delay product (PDP). The proposed design is compared with existing XOR/XNOR circuits for sub-threshold operation. It offers 1.31 × improvement in delay and 1.28 × improvement in PDP compared to its counterpart. It proves its robustness by offering 2.27 × improvement in delay variability, 1.32 × improvement in power dissipation variability and …

Hybrid System (Wind and Solar) for Rural Lighting Applications
Abstract: Abstract Standalone wind with solar photovoltaic is known as the best hybrid combination of all renewable energy systems and suitable for most of the applications taking care of seasonal changes. They also complement each other during lean periods, example additional energy production by wind during monsoon months compensates less output generated by solar. Similarly, post winter months when wind is dull, SPV takes over. The hybrid system provides more continuous …

Elasticity of Substitution—A Summary
Abstract: This paper has a very specific purpose of explaining the differences among Allen elasticity of substitution, Morishima elasticity of substitution and McFadden elasticity of substitution. It is roughly divided into three sections. The first section traces the evolutionary trajectory and provides a summarized description(including formula) of these three measurements. The next section discusses a hypothetical scenario to bring out the intuition behind elasticity of substitution more vividly. In the last …

Structured Lipids: A Unique Designer Lipid
Abstract: Structured lipids (SLs) generally refer to any fats that are modified or restructured from natural oils and fats or fatty acids primarily containing short or medium chain fatty acids and preferably essential fatty acids. The function and properties of structured lipids depend on the type of fatty acids moieties present and the position of their attachment to the backbone. Availability of SLs tightly relates to the new discoveries and collection …

Strategies to Minimize Heat Stress in Broiler and Layer Chickens
Abstract: Heat stress is one of the most important thermal environmental factors challenging broiler and layer production throughout world. Negative effects of heat stress on broilers and layer production range from reduced growth and egg production to reduced egg quality. Heat stress is more in chickens with high production performance and more feed conversion efficiency. Prolonged exposure to hot weather will lead to imbalance of acid-base equilibrium in body, decreases blood …

Lactation Persistency and its Genetic Evaluation in Cattle—A Review
Abstract: Lactation persistency, an economically important trait for dairy animal, can be defined as the capacity of a cow to continue milk production at a high level after the peak yield. High persistent cows are expected to have higher lactation production, longer productive life and considered as efficient producers. Moreover, lactation persistency has a great influence on the health, reproduction and feed costs of dairy cows. Different environmental factors viz., season …
