Characterization of Low Power-Low Jitter Digital PLL
Abstract: The architecture design is being done in transistor level and tool which supports transistor level design. Mentor Graphics Tool is used for transistor level design and its simulation design. There are few tools which support design simulation like HSpice, Spectre and PSpice. Also a foundry support is from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Corporation (TSMC) (i.e.) technology model files 180 nm from TSMC for simulation. This article presents design for 1.5 GHz …

Study of Dual Modulus Prescaler for Frequency Synthesizer
Abstract: In recent mobile communication systems high frequency synthesizers are the main building block. Voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) and prescalers are the high frequency parts of a frequency synthesizer. The prescaler reduce high frequencies into low frequencies by a small integer division. For prescaler power consumption, speed and no. of division ratios are the major concerns. The dual modulus prescalers are the frequency dividers which can selectively divide the frequency with …

Design of 8 Bit High Speed Pipelined ADC
Abstract: High-speed, medium-resolution, analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) are important building blocks in many electronic applications. The demand for high-speed, medium resolution, low power ADCs is satisfied by various ADC architectures like folding, flsubranging, pipeline etc. Of these, pipeline architecture has proven to be the most efficient for applications such as digital communication systems, data acquisition systems and video systems. Pipelined ADC offer attractive combination of high-speed, high-accuracy and low power consumption, which …

Design and Analysis of Multi Band Patch with Enhanced Bandwidth
Abstract: In this article, a novel lower edge defected multi-band patch with modified ground structure (or Defected Ground Structure-DGS) with enhanced bandwidth has been presented. The bandwidth can be enhanced by defecting the partial ground and by arc truncation of lower edges of the patch. The antenna was converted into multi-band by defecting the lower corners. The antenna is resonating at multiple bands i.e. 3.7 GHz, 7.87 (~7.9) GHz, 12.19 (~12.2) …

Chlorophyll-Mimicking Ti₃C₂Tₓ MXene-Conjugated Polymer Nanocomposites: Nature-Inspired Exciton Funneling Architecture for Ultrahigh Photon-to-Electron Conversion in Organic Solar Cells
Abstract: Green plant photosynthetic machinery is one of the most efficient natural systems for harvesting solar energy and converting it into useable electronic charge. Specifically, chlorophyll molecules in the Light-Harvesting Complex II (LHC-II) achieve nearly unity quantum yield via a well-organized Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) mechanism that enables excitons to migrate towards reaction centers. This study presents a bio-inspired nanocomposite architecture using two-dimensional Ti₃C₂Tₓ MXene nanosheets functionalized with chlorophyll-mimicking porphyrin …

Machine Learning Assisted Optimization of Nanoscale MOSFET Parameters Using TCAD Simulation
Abstract: This paper presents a machine learning (ML) assisted framework for the multi-objective optimization of nanoscale bulk n-channel metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistors (nMOSFETs) with a 10 nm physical gate length, high-k HfO₂ gate dielectric, and TiN metal gate. Technology computer-aided design (TCAD) simulations employing drift-diffusion transport, Shockley-Read-Hall recombination, Lombardi mobility degradation, and density- gradient quantum correction models are used to generate a parametric dataset of 2,400 device configurations spanning gate length (L), …
