High-Performance Polymer Composite Membranes for Selective Ion Transport in Advanced Energy Conversion Systems
Abstract: The development of high-performance Polymer Composite Membranes (PCM) with enhanced ion transport is essential for Polymer Electrolyte Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFC). However, low-humidity conditions and filter agglomeration still limit long-term membrane stability. This research designs a functionalized PCM integrating cross-linked Poly (Vinyl Alcohol)/Poly (Ethylene Glycol) (PVA/PEG) matrix with sulfonic acid functional groups and Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂) nanofillers to improve selective ion transport under low-humidity conditions. A Comparative Study of the Structure–Property Relationships in CAD/CAM Milled vs. 3D-Printed High-Performance Polymers: Impact of Molecular Orientation on Abrasive-Wear Resistance
Abstract: Background: The transition from subtractive to additive manufacturing in prosthetic dentistry has introduced significant variations in the macromolecular architecture of high-performance polymers. While CAD/CAM milling utilizes high-density, industrially polymerized blocks, 3D printing (Additive Manufacturing) relies on layer-by-layer deposition, which may induce anisotropic molecular orientation. This retrospective study investigates how these distinct manufacturing “thermal histories” influence the long-term abrasive-wear resistance of PEEK and PEKK restorations. Materials and Methods: Data were retrospectively …

Preparation of Phase – Pure Nanocrystalline Anatase and Rutile TiO2 using Hydrolysis of TiCl4 in presence of surfactants
Abstract: Hydrolysis of TiCl4 was carried out in two different ways to prepare nano crystalline TiO2. In the first method the hydrolysis of TiCl4 was carried under high acidic conditions at low temperature. In the second method hydrolysis was carried out using (NH4)2SO4 as an additive. It can be seen that the hydrolysis of TiCl4 under high acidic conditions promotes the growth of rutile phase of TiO2, where as hydrolysis in …
