Factors Affecting Shear Stress on Tablet Hardness and Disintegration
Abstract: The quality and effectiveness of pharmaceutical tablets depend heavily on several factors influencing shear stress on tablet hardness and disintegration. These factors include formulation composition, wherein the selection and concentration of excipients and active ingredients affect how the tablet material responds to shear stress. Additionally, the compression force, speed, and duration during tablet compression are critical, impacting tablet hardness and disintegration properties. Tablet geometry and design, along with tablet press …

Comprehensive Experimental Analysis of the Mechanical Properties and Enhancements of Natural Fiber Composites
Abstract: This research investigates the mechanical characteristics of bio-composites reinforced using jute and sisal fibers. Natural fibers have emerged as promising alternatives because of their low density, renewability, biodegradability and approving mechanical properties. The research involved fabricating bio-composite plates using the hand lay-up method with varying orientations of jute and sisal fibers. The mechanical parameters, including tensile strength, impact strength, and flexural strength, were rigorously assessed and compared across various fiber …

Electroactive Graphene–Polymer Nanocomposites for Self-Sustaining and Multifunctional Flexible Devices
Abstract: Graphene–reinforced polymer–composites were developed and systematically investigated to explore their multifunctionality in flexible electronic applications. The study specifically aims to correlate graphene-induced structure–property–function relationships with electroactive performance and self-sustaining behaviour in flexible devices. The hybridization of electroactive polymers—polyaniline (PANI), poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene): polystyrene sulphonate (PEDOT:PSS), and polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF)—with graphene nanoplatelets enabled simultaneous enhancement of electroactivity, energy-harvesting, and sensing functionalities. Morphological studies confirmed uniform graphene dispersion at 5 wt.% loading, forming continuous …

Integrated risk assessment framework for mixed use real estate development: Retail–office configuration
Abstract: Mixed-use real estate development is a multifaceted challenge that offers significant potential benefits, yet developers and urban planners face skepticism and uncertainty. Despite the promise of enhancing property values, promoting secure neighborhoods, stimulating economic vitality, and creating synergies, the associated risks demand a critical examination. This research seeks to address this gap by constructing a comprehensive risk assessment framework for mixed-use real estate projects. The literature review underscores the substantial …

Mechanical Performance Evaluation of Brachyuran Shell Particle-Infused S-Glass Fibre Epoxy Polymer Composites
Abstract: Epoxy composites bio-filled with brachyuran crab shell powder and reinforced with S-glass fibres at different loadings (2%, 4%, and 6%) are tested for their mechanical properties in this work. Using modest amounts of filler significantly improved hardness, ultimate tensile strength, and flexural strength in the empirical data. The largest increase in hardness was 64.42% at 4% filler, up from 26.22% at 2%; however, there was a dramatic decrease to 13.11% …

Behavior of Surface Polaritons on Cylindrical Semiconducting Materials at Nanoscale with Radius Dependence Frequency
Abstract: Surface plasmon resonance (SPR) is a physical property of the surface to investigate the important properties of optical behaviors for nanomaterial and biomaterial. It involves the excitation of electrons within a thin metal sheet by incident light at a specific angle, prompting them to propagate parallel to the surface. This sensitivity to external factors, such as changes in the refractive index of the surrounding medium due to molecular adsorption, underscores …

Autonomous Agentic AI for Adaptive Cure Optimization and Defect Prevention in Thermoset Polymer Composite Manufacturing
Abstract: Thermoset polymer composites occupy a central position in modern structural manufacturing, from aircraft fuselages to wind-turbine blades. Despite progress in resin chemistry and fiber architecture, the “cure process” that transforms compliant preforms into load-bearing structures remains difficult to manage. Manufacturers encounter ‘voids’, “interlaminar delaminations”, and “spring-back distortion” when curing complex or thick-section parts. The cause is not ignorance of the relevant physics, but rather that ‘temperature’, ‘chemistry’, ‘rheology’, and ‘mechanics’ …

Diglycidyl Ether of Bisphenol A (DGEBA) Based Epoxy Sizing Agent Induces Surface Polarity in Carbon Fibers†
Abstract: Determination of the chemical structure and composition of the sizing agent is a challenge as its concentration is low, varying in the range from ~0.5 wt.% (for polyacrylonitrile, PAN, based carbon fibers) to ~1 wt.% (for pitch-based carbon fibers). Moreover, such a piece of knowledge is vital for designing compatible polymer matrices to prepare CFRPs for diverse applications. As a result, the sizing layer that is coated on the carbon …

Enhancing Delamination Resistance in CFRP Composites through surface Functionalization of Woven carbon Fiber by CuO Nanostructures
Abstract: In order to produce a nanostructured interphase that improves the interfacial interaction with an epoxy resin matrix, copper oxide (CuO) nanostructures were hydrothermally formed onto woven carbon fibers (WCF). Hexagonal CuO nanorods were created using a two-step, seed-assisted solvothermal technique on plain woven carbon fiber. This study investigates the effects of surface modification of carbon fibers by the formation of CuO nanostructures using a hydrothermal technique on the mechanical properties …
