Automatic Number Plate Recognition Based Image Processing
Abstract: In most countries, traffic control and vehicle owner identification have become important problems. It is almost impossible to identify vehicle owners who break rules of the traffic, especially those driving at high speeds. Another problem inhibits traffic officers from catching the offenders in most cases because solving traffic offenders involves retrieving license plate numbers from fast-moving vehicles. Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) systems have been developed as an effective solution …

Task Scheduling in Cloud Computing using Hippopotamus Optimization Algorithm
Abstract: Cloud computing, which provides remote clients with on-demand services, has emerged as a crucial component of contemporary technology. It is still difficult to schedule tasks effectively in such diverse and dynamic situations. Motivated by the hippopotamus's balanced exploration and exploitation behavior, this research suggests a unique work scheduling method utilizing the hippopotamus optimization algorithm (HOA). In order to maximize resource usage and throughput while minimizing makespan and execution cost, the …

Spectral Intuitionistic Fuzzy Hypergraph Operators and Dominance Kernels for Resilient Discrete Network Design
Abstract: A new discrete-mathematical framework is developed for resilient network design on intuitionistic fuzzy hypergraphs, where uncertainty is explicitly represented through membership, non-membership, and hesitation degrees associated with both vertices and hyperedges. These three components are systematically integrated into an effective incidence operator that captures the underlying uncertain relationships within complex hypergraph structures. Based on this operator, both un-normalised and normalized Laplacian matrices are formulated to characterize the spectral properties and …

A Mathematical Perspective on Recent Cloud-Computing Trends for Scalable and Secure Social-Media Platforms
Abstract: Cloud computing underpins modern social-media platforms by providing elastic compute, storage, and data-processing pipelines capable of absorbing highly bursty workloads. This paper surveys recent cloud-native trends—serverless and event-driven design, container orchestration, edge/CDN offload, streaming analytics, and privacy-enhancing security controls—and formalizes their impact through a compact mathematical model. We express workload volatility using arrival-rate functions, use queueing-based capacity sizing to derive auto-scaling rules, and formulate an optimization objective that balances cost …

Transformer Health Monitoring System
Abstract: Rising demands for reliable and efficient power distribution in modern electric control grid increasingly call up for robust monitoring systems for critical substructure. Being a vital part of the power conduction system, transformer are subjected to mechanical, electrical, and environmental stresses, which, if not properly controlled, can cause failures. In this project, we propose a Transformer Health Monitoring System (THMS) using machine learning (ML) models and real-time monitoring method to …

Data-Driven Life Prediction of Fiber-Reinforced Polymer Composites Using IoT Sensing and Machine Learning Algorithms
Abstract: The accurate prediction of fatigue life in fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) composites remains a major challenge due to their nonlinear, multi-mechanism degradation behavior under variable loading conditions. This study presents a data-driven framework, H-LiProNet, which combines real-time IoT sensing with hybrid machine learning to estimate remaining useful life (RUL) in FRP composites. The proposed system integrates embedded Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) and acoustic emission (AE) sensors to capture strain and damage …

Credit Card Fraud Detection Using Machine Learning Techniques
Abstract: Credit card fraud has become a significant concern in today's digital economy, with billions of dollars being lost annually to fraudulent transactions. Conventional rule-based approaches frequently prove inadequate in addressing the constantly changing strategies employed by fraudsters. Machine learning methods have emerged as robust solutions for detecting credit card fraud, presenting the capability to accurately identify fraudulent transactions promptly. In this study, we investigate the efficiency of three widely used …

Quasar: Quantum-Accelerated Sustainable Anomaly Recognition in Climate Systems
Abstract: Accurate detection of climate anomalies is vital for disaster alleviation and policy making in a sustainable manner, but customary detection methods face the challenges of computational inefficiency and physical inconsistency. In this study, we propose a novel approach called Quantum-Optimized Fuzzy Physics-Informed Neural Networks (QFuzzy-PINNs), which integrates quantum computing, fuzzy logic, and physics-informed deep learning. As a first step, we employ quantum annealing for conventional optimization to adjust multiple Gaussian …

Idempotent Semiring Path Algebras and Fuzzy Dominance Automata for Multi-State Communication Reliability
Abstract: A semiring-based theory is proposed for multi-state communication reliability with fuzzy dominance constraints. Links are weighted in the max-product semiring, while nodes carry dominance coefficients and operating states that modulate admissible transitions in a weighted automaton. The paper derives semiring matrix products, Kleene closures, fixed point equations, congestion-regularized path scores, and reliability inequalities. A fuzzy dominance automaton is introduced so that route selection depends not only on link reliability but …
