A New Description of Multi-phase Flow Behavior at Boundary Layers of Low-permeability Porous Media
Abstract: At present, the recovery factor of low permeability oilfield in China is only about 20%, which is enormously lower than the recovery factor index of 60% by using water-chemical flooding in medium and high permeability layer. There are a lot of causes that resulted in low recovery factor, among them that the complex pore structure, tiny throat, large pore throat ratio and non-Darcy flow in low-permeability oil layer are the …

Prevalence and Various Risk Factors of Musculoskeletal Pain among Physiotherapists: A Survey Study
Abstract: The relationship between physical activity (forceful, repetitive movements with awkward postures) and MSDs is more complicated than just cause and effect. Most studies on the prevalence of work related MSDs (WMSDs) and their association with occupational tasks have been performed in the manufacturing sector, as outlined in comprehensive literature reviews by the National institute for occupational safety and health (NIOSH). Physical activity may cause injury. Some epidemiologic studies have used …

Generative Design of Bioactive Orthopedic Composites for Fracture Repair Using an Integrated Conditional GAN–Transformer Framework: A Multi-Objective Approach
Abstract: Orthopedic composite implants for fracture repair must simultaneously satisfy conflicting mechanical and biological demands: high fracture toughness, sufficient compressive stiffness, and bioactive surface chemistry enabling osteoblast adhesion and mineralization. Existing design approaches rely on trial-and-error experimentation, yielding sub-optimal trade-offs between these objectives. This paper presents an integrated conditional Generative Adversarial Network–Transformer (cGAN-T) framework for fully computational, multi-objective generative design of hydroxyapatite (HA)-reinforced polymer composite microstructures targeting Orthopedic fracture repair. An Auxiliary Array Indexing Approach for Efficient Binary Search in Linked Lists
Abstract: The paper covers an algorithm for searching a linked list structure using binary search. Binary search is a classic example of an algorithm that follows the divide-and-conquer approach. Binary search may be used to find elements in an array. Trying to apply the conventional binary search to a linked list simply does not work out very well; it still has an O(n) time complexity, the same as linear search. This …
