Paraphenylenediamine Poisoning: A Review of Literature
Abstract: Any substance dangerous to living organisms when either applied internally or externally, destroy the action of vital functions or prevent the continuance of life is known as poison. Cosmetics, medicines, and other household items could lead to a serious poisoning if accidently consumed by children. The home environment is the primary location of most poisonings, with over 90% of reported poisonings occurring at home. Most non-fatal poisonings occur in children …

Toxicological Evaluation Of Two Nigerian Refinery Effluents Using Natural Biomonitors
Abstract: Abstract The present study aimed to evaluate the toxic effects of two Nigerian refineries’ effluents using natural bio-monitors. Standard physicochemical analysis, toxi-chromo test using mutant E. coli and sub-chronic animal toxicity testing with emphasis on tissue heavy metal accumulation, biochemical parameters and histopathology, were adopted during the study. The physicochemical results revealed that the two effluent samples are highly polluted although PH sample was more polluted than the Warri sample. …

Role of Nutool (Irrigation) in the Management of Shaqeeqa (Migraine): A Review
Abstract: In Unani system of medicine, Shaqeeqa is a familiar disorder, it is not a modern entity, and it is described since ancient time. Many eminent Unani physician like as Jalinoos, Ibn-sina, and Razi described its etiology, prevention and treatment. Shaqeeqa is characterized by recurrent attacks of pulsatile headache usually unilateral wildly variable in intensity, frequency and duration. Its cause involves morbid vapors and humoral imbalance. Alteration in Asbab-esitta Zarooriya leads …

Review and analysis of the Programmable Tungsten Inert Gas Welding Machine
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to examine metal inert gas (MIG) and tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding processes. This study focuses on welding defects with various kinds of AISI- 1020 mild steel welding joints when using metal inert gas (MIG) and tungsten inert gas (TIG). The impact of different process variables on mild steel welding was looked into. In this study, the main process parameters were changed, and destructive …

Smart Drainage Cleaning System: A Technological Intervention for Occupational Health and Urban Sanitation
Abstract: Manual drainage maintenance in urban environments remains a hazardous task, exposing sanitation workers to toxic gases, infections, and life-threatening accidents. This paper presents the development of an automated 12V Smart Drainage Cleaning System designed to eliminate manual scavenging and enhance cleaning efficiency. The robotic model operates on a 12V DC power supply, integrating an ultrasonic sensor for real time obstacle detection and automated navigation within narrow drainage pathways. The core …

Conductive Polymer Nanocomposites for Wearable Cardiac Monitoring Devices
Abstract: Wearable cardiac monitoring devices are increasingly important tools for non-invasive, continuous assessment of cardiac health. Their growth is driven by increases in the incidence of arrhythmias and by a great demand for remote monitoring. This is changing with the use of conductive polymer nanocomposites (CPNCs). They combine physical properties of mechanical flexibility, high electrical conductivity, and good biocompatibility resulting in high precision, and comfortable sensing. CPNCs combine conductive polymers with …

Injections: Routes of Administration, Adverse Effects, and Nurses’ Responsibilities
Abstract: An injection is the process of employing a device under pressure to force a liquid, gas, or substance into a person, area, or system. In everyday usage, it most frequently refers to using a syringe and needle to inject medication or vaccinations into the body. In order to avoid the digestive system, an injection—often referred to as a "shot" or "jab"—delivers nutrition or fluid drugs straight into the body.

Microstructural Evolution and Mechanical Performance of Ambient-Cured Fly Ash–Metakaolin Inorganic Polymer Composites Activated by Anhydrous Sodium Silicate Powder
Abstract: Inorganic geopolymer networks offer a low-carbon and sustainable solution to traditional binder systems through the alkali-activation of industrials-grade aluminosilicate material. The present paper focuses on the microstructure development and the mechanical performance of the ambient-cured fly ash – metakaolin inorganic polymer composite activated with solid anhydrous sodium silicate powder. Five inorganic polymer binder combinations were formulated by replacing fly ash with metakaolin at mass fractions of 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, …
