In Silico Analysis and Molecular Docking Studies of COX-2 Inhibitors for Anti-Inflammatory Activity
Abstract: Although nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) are frequently used to treat pain, lower fevers, and control inflammation, they frequently cause gastrointestinal side effects because they inhibit the COX-1 and COX-2 enzymes. Despite their effectiveness and lack of gastrointestinal side effects, selective COX-2 inhibitors have been linked to cardiovascular risks. To find new COX-2 inhibitors that are safer and more effective, this study uses in silico techniques, such as molecular docking and …

Improving the Mechanical and Interfacial Properties of Bhendi Fiber via Chemical Surface Treatments
Abstract: Because of its primary benefits—moderate strength and stiffness, low cost, and being a renewable, degradable, and ecologically friendly material—natural fibers are believed to have potential use as reinforcing agents in polymer composite materials. Due to their inherent hydrophilicity, they have a tendency to retain moisture, which can impair or soften the fibers' adhesion to the surrounding matrix. This can have an impact on the performance of composite materials used in …

An Efficient Synthesis of Some Novel Benzo Coumarin Derivatives Under Solvent Conditions from 2-acetyl-benzo[f]chromen-3-one
Abstract: The synthesis of the target compounds began with the preparation of 2-[3-dimethylamino[acryloyl-3H-benzo[f]chromen-3-one. This intermediate was obtained through the reaction of 2-acetylbenzo[f]coumarin-3-one with N,N-dimethylformamide dimethyl acetal [DMFDMA[ under reflux conditions in xylene. The enaminone thus formed was subsequently reacted with 6-aminothiouracil in acetic acid, leading to the formation of 2-thioxo-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrido[2,3-d]pyrimidin-4-one. This compound served as a pivotal intermediate for the synthesis of a series of pyridotriazolopyrimidinones. These derivatives were synthesized by reacting …
