Passive Capillary Flow of Red Dye in the SU-8 based Glass Microfluidic Devices
Abstract: In this work, total three individual SU-8 based glass microfluidic devices are fabricated by the maskless lithography and indirect bonding technique. Commercially available red coloured food dye is used as working liquid. Individual surface-driven capillary flows of red dye are recorded by the CMOS camera. Abstract: In this experimental work, a single straight microchannel of rectangular cross-section is fabricated by maskless lithography, hot embossing lithography and direct bonding technique. This microchannel is fabricated using polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) as optically transparent polymer. Dyed water is selected and prepared as working liquid. CMOS camera is used to record the surface-driven capillary flow of dyed water in the fabricated straight microchannel. This work will be useful in applied chemistry.
