Development of Water Trash Collector System: A Review
Abstract: A serious garbage crisis has emerged, notably in aquatic bodies, because of rising urbanisation, corruption, and worldwide economic expansion. We have created an automated system for cleaning rivers utilising an Arduino-based floating garbage collector machine to address this problem. The system is fueled by solar energy, allowing for a backup energy supply and water recycling, which helps reduce waste. The system collects plastic and glass bottles and other lightweight floating …

Remote Sensing-based Analysis of Critical Bends of Kushiyara River in Bangladesh
Abstract: Streams are continually changing position as a consequence of hydraulic forces acting on their beds and banks. This stress is mainly a result of climatic changes from year to year in the amount of waterflow variation that occurs in the stream [1]. The present study has been conducted to scrutinize the meandering parameters at critical bends of Kushiyara river using remote sensing technology and geographic information system (GIS). The name …

Sedimentation Yield Analysis of Hatnur Dam using SWAT and GIS
Abstract: Sedimentation in reservoirs throughout the world are leading to loss of reservoir storage capacitythereby reduces the useful lifetime of dams. Storage reservoirs built across rivers or streams tend tolose their water storage capacity progressively with the passage of time due to sedimentation. After thedesigned sediment deposition capacity of the reservoir, further addition in sediment deposits affectsthe reservoir regulation operations. It’s therefore necessary to assess reservoir sediment depositioncapacity and plan for …

Stability and Analysis of Retaining Wall of Bank Areas of the Ganga River
Abstract: Retaining walls are used from historic times to prevent the outflow of river and create havoc in the cities. The most important function of a retaining wall is to prevent entering the water in cities by giving higher length than the flood level and different styles of wall are used to secure town from high water level. Finite element technique is used to numerically model the wall and predict its …
